Dutch oven baking powder biscuits. An old recipe from the 6666 ranch.
3 cups of flour
1 tablespoon of sugar
6 teaspoons of baking powder
1 teaspoon of salt
Mix dry ingredients well
3 tablespoons of bacon grease
1 cup of milk
Make into a dough ball and roll out to about 1/2” thick and cut Biscuits
Cook at 350 for around 15 minutes

Separately from the last comment, what was the casting device you used to prepare the coals in @7:30? I'm a prior welder and would love to know who made that beautiful piece.

this is how my mother used to make biscuits, i really prefer these over any buttermilk biscuit. not as soft and fluffy as a buttermilk biscuit but that's what i like about them, to me a buttermilk biscuit is too much like cake and not bready enough...
