ERRATUM: Yes, the title screen in the video says PA4 but I assure you it's called the PA40. Did I type PA40? Yes, I did. Did the plug-in title screen lose the '0'? Yes it did. Is it too late to fix it? Yep. Even so, apologies all round, Especially to IOTAVX.

Very interesting Paul. Good to see a Power Amp that's reasonably priced, has oodles of power and XLR inputs. I hesitate to use the word 'bargain' but at £700; well it's got me thinking.

This is my wish. If only the sa40 had pre-amp inputs as well, One could decide they want to dual mono TWO SA40's for the future versatility of using one in another room. Versatility is always good.

Hi Paul I know you’ve reviewed the 9000a . How do you think this would work with the pa40 ? I would it be better to go with the sa40 aswell . Cheers

Hi 👋 Sir I have a Pre amplifier Parasound P6 , Power amplifier Parasound A21+. Two reason planning to cell it off?? Pre amp doesn’t have eARC input, second my power amplifier gets hot 🥵 in low volume less than 4 db listening, it works in class A. If I increase volume above 5 db it works in class AB mode, during late night I am not able to enjoying music 🎶 in volume no bass. This is my biggest problem now. IOTA SA 40 is very suitable for my listening experience. Middle East countries temperature is very high in summer. Please advise what to do??? I am confused now. I listened to IOTA SA 40 , PA 40. But buying PA 40 is waste for me. Thanks for your wonderful review. Waiting for your reply.

hi Paul ,I have a Marantz PM8006 integrated amplifier, it plays with the Monitor Audio Silver 500 6g. I'm thinking about buying an additional power amp to achieve greater dynamics (headroom). Will the PA40 be better (more power) than the Marantz MM7025? Or maybe something else for around £1000?

Why is the Music First preamp soo expensive. Is there no value for money preamp that can mach the P40. Hifi reviewers all shy away from preamps making it impossible to really look into one.
