A Boeing 737 without engines. No runway in sight. And only minutes to find a way out.

An airliner isn't supposed to become a glider.

Yet, on May 24, 1988, a Boeing 737 on approach to New Orleans crossed a zone of extremely violent weather.

At low altitude, over the water, its two engines shut down.

In a matter of seconds, the cockpit was plunged into a brutal reality:
no thrust, very little altitude, and no obvious runway ahead.

On board, 45 people.

Beneath the aircraft, water, marshes, levees, and industrial facilities.
Around the crew, the weather continued to close in.

In those minutes, everything hinged on one thing:
the pilots' ability to transform a near-hopeless situation into a still-controllable trajectory.

TACA Flight 110 isn't just a story of two engine failures.

It's a story of extreme weather, composure, pure piloting skill… and an impossible decision made just a few hundred meters above the ground.
