They used makeovers as psychological torture. They ruined some of the girls hair. A basket weave should never go on a girl with fine hair.

"You've got to trust the people you work with". Says the man who literally just lied to her face about her makeover!

I hate how they were forced to get these makeovers or get eliminated. Tyra definitely had some terrible makeover ideas.

"we're not making decisions for shock value" umm these models walked on treadmills and inside of balloons on water in heels!? Yeah nope

@wakeupkrissywakeup 5 years ago

"You've gotta trust us!" Lol after seeing some of these circus clown makeovers, I wouldn't trust any of these beauty school dropouts either

@lucysrz3496 5 years ago

they're all justified bc they're all getting shit done against their will and 90% of the time it doesn't even work for them

@JohnsHobbyHut 5 years ago

Okay, but Jeana's "meltdown" is 1000% justified if you look up the video she did on Top Model! They literally told her she was going to be getting a wig to wear throughout the show (the wig is actually seen in a few clips in the background) and then they surprised her on the spot the day of makeovers by telling her they were going to shave her bald... What little hair she had was years of growth she was trying to get back and they shaved it off on her... That's not a meltdown, that's pure psychological torture!

Them calling these young girls control freaks and trying to be a psychologist is seriously toxic af. Tyra deserves all the heat she getting right now. Psychological abuse, "joking" with the fact they need to trust complete strangers that totally don't have their best intentions in mind... wow. Just. no. Even as a kid watching this I felt like there was something really wrong.

“We’re not making decisions for shock value” that’s...literally exactly what they did. In every season.

The makeovers were fun but they were fucked up with some of their choices and forcing the girls to go through with them.

All this show did was cut people's hair or bleach it. This isn't no "makeover" cuz the makeovers was horrible. They didn't do research on the model's hair textures, treatments for the hair, and what would actually look good on the models. Most of the people that did the makeovers got eliminated quickly and the judges always say "they didn't like the look." How u pick a look for the models and then when it looks bad, eliminate them after? I feel so bad for the models

@taotaostrong 5 years ago

Tyra and the other producers really were downright sadistic.

@Mister_Dollz 5 years ago

Jeana being very emotional and tearful is absolutely 100% justified, especially because she thought that she would be getting a new wig instead of going bald.

@harlequeenchannel 5 years ago

While sure, some of them looked better with their new looks, this is still psychological torture to these poor girls.

”We’re not making decisions for shock value”
pretends to cut girls hair off for shock value

@macairemcnamara2419 5 years ago

As a redhead, I’m upset that the judges wanted to dye that models hair to a more artificial shade of red. Red hair is never the same after it’s dyed (from the multiple stories I’ve been told)

@nicolemaloney3387 5 years ago (edited)

For Tyra to see Molly's weave and not see how absolutely wrong it was is very telling of her level of
"professionalism"

@Rose-hh7mk 5 years ago

I hate that the elimination was pretty much right after the makeovers, so some people got the haircut for no reason

@Woodyandbuzz-t7y 5 years ago

“Those red bumps right there, especially in the tight spots that’s normal, that’s the beauty is pin thing just got to suck it up” that’s why she had no hairline for a long time and neither did Naomi Campbell. No edges, no hairline. Ladies that is called traction alopecia, those bumps mean your hair is being pulled it is too tight and you should take them down ASAP. :)

@ughstfuu 5 years ago

I kinda feel bad when these girls get their hair chopped off and they’re eliminated the next day 💀😂

@Zetababe 5 years ago

These are not makeovers. This is psychological torture. It’s hard to be comfortable in you own skin when you no longer feel like you. A woman should have an equal say regarding her makeover instead of having it forced upon you.
