I complete forgot to mention this in my video like an idiot and I suck at editing my audio lol. I would rewrite that Vecna's trump card would be, in the event is Venca-morphed soilders are defeated, that he would find a way to physically merge with the Mind flayer and emit more creatures from the body of the mind flayer. Is it a bit megazordy and I bit extreme? Yes. But I would have rather seen that than what we got lol

My explanation for why he needed 12 kids is there are 12 months in the year, there are 12 numbers on the clock, Christ had 12 disciples. There are 12 Zodiac signs. Plain and simple 12 is a very important number in human history.

I made that up in 10 seconds, The Duffer Brothers could do the same thing

Venca bringing Eddie back to kill Dustin would have been diabolical. People would still be raving about now

Imagine if he required 12 children because it would take 12 hours for the worlds to collide and each hour a kid would die.

14:30 I really don’t understand why people hate her so much because of what she says to Jane, like, did they forget that Kali has been kidnapped, had all her friends murdered by the military and was then constantly having her blood taken to create more psychic kids.

Like, yeah it’s bad what’s she’s saying, but how else is she supposed to see things when all of that stuff happened to her?

In my days we called that writing Fanfictions

You know it's bad when Will's coming out speech was longer than the boss fight even with the long drawn out confrontation with Joyce cutting his head off. Shows which one they cared about more.

We need a petition to have Ross duffers wife write and direct a real final season of stranger things 👁️👄👁️

I never thought about it, but why did Vecna open up a giant gate and then just dip for 2 year?

Instead of 12, 4 should be vecna's number like he needed in S4. And inst of 4 random kids, they have to be from the main cast, maybe even the original 4.

Vecna would kidnap one  person per episode and always at the most dramatic and inopportune moment, right when that person was supposed to do something crucial to the good guys' plan. thus Vecna kills two birds with one stone: leaving his enemies in disarray and strengthening himself with more sacrifices/vessels.

I was honestly thinking S5 was building up every threat from the upside down (demogorgons, dogs, bats, Vecna and The Mind Flayer) to invade Hawkins, residents getting attacked, and stakes being higher now that they have entered the heroes home cause that was S4 finale was kinda building on, but like you said on 0:45, they just cover the gates with steel plates and everything looks happy

If people enjoy this last season, more power to them.
Its the people who are getting hyper defensive about all of us being upset over it.
As though were all just nitpicking ..

I like the idea that the Military should've kidnapped Steve then CONVINCING the Military to fight Vecna's "army of Demogorgons", giving Dustin something to do with Nancy, and Erica (since they were standing around all season). Giving a callback to being kidnapped by the Russians in Season 3. Dustin realises him getting into a fight might get him to lose Steve, so their reunion and rehashing would feel nice. I don't really ship Nancy and Steve, but with "tension" in Season 4 they were playing, it would ACTUALLY give Nancy a reason to break up with Jonathan, maybe even having Jonathan do something by sacrificing himself for Will at the end, somehow. Otherwise, replace Nancy with Jonathan in the party, and have them address their friendship, plus have humorous moments were they're having their "macho" competitions. Literally, ANYTHING better to be written... I don't hate it, I am just very underwhelmed... especially, after a 3 year wait, and a 10 year buildup.

8:30 I think it would’ve been interesting if the mind flayer was trying to reset the board, so kidnapping 12 kids, the amount of kids in the lab. so then they could grow their power and somehow force Will to kill the kids, so Will would become the next One and repeat the cycle.

One of the main things I wish would happen is bringing more of the story from the Stranger Things play The First Shadow. Patty Newby, Henry’s love interest, was his last shred of humanity, and having her be introduced in some way during season five, maybe having her be Vecna’s Kas instead of Eddie, would have brought his humanity to light in a better way than just his brief moment in the cave with the mind flayer stone that came out of nowhere.

Should have ended at S4. I'm rewatching the S4 finale rn and just gonna pretend it ends there. I regret that I cannot unsee how BADLY they ruined the Mind Flayer (by it originally being this colossal mysterious cool AF Lovecraftian creature to a freaking spider Kaiju) but I am going to try harder to forget that than ChatGpt tried to write for the Duffer Brothers this season.

Honestly the Vecna-soldiers is actually a great idea.
Hawkins being darker and having demogorgons wondering around definitely should’ve happened.
I also agree that Hopper should’ve died, I also think Murray should’ve sacrificed himself somehow to show that he’s more than just a comedic guy. And I definitely agree that either Eleven or Will should’ve sacrificed themselves to save everyone else.

This is the fixes id make:
-Remove timejump
-10 episodes, 2 hour minimum each
-Hollys screen time a quarter of what she actually got
-Vecna does more to the group
And much much much more

11:04 I love the idea of dead loved ones being fake thralls of Vecna, bc if his biggest gripe with humanity is that they’re too emotional, he would absolutely make a defensive strategy that preyed on that weakness. On the main cast side of things, they’d have to admit to themselves that the dead are gone, and so is the version of themselves that existed when they were alive. If they wanted a win for the protagonists; they could deceive the thralls to take themselves out, a duo could cover each others blind spots and console each other, etc. If they wanted a win for Vecna; they could have this conflict leave the protagonists strong enough to kill a person traumatized by taking fault for the loved one’s death in a whole new way, or drive a device between characters that thought the thralls could be saved. Either way, there’s weaknesses Vecna could leverage in the final fight.

I am personally glad they didn't kill Steve off, not just cause I like him, but cause the dude is the most obvious, easiest target for it, and bro has had major death flags on him since season 1. Even Steve thinks he's more expendable, which, I'm glad they actually touched on a bit in season 5 as part of his arc (the only moments I liked were the Steve and Dustin fight and make up scenes tbh). So Steve not dying was actually the only thing that genuinely surprised me. However, Jonathan dying to save him would've been interesting to me, or just something happening. It's like there was no cost. Eleven and Will I have mixed feelings on dying, though, like Eleven especially, I didn't like that her arc boiled down to "well, yeah Kali was right and the only solution after being treated as a lab rat their whole lives is to just die." I do not think that's a good message.
