Hey! I'm actually the creator of Xenon, a WIP LLE for the Xbox 360, which is mentioned in OSX360's repo. I just found out about this project and looks super cool, I will give it a shot on getting OSX to run under Xenon too! Thanks for sharing!!

I would love to see someone running the Mac OS version of Halo in this. Lol

Dang i think "Can it run Mac OS" might be the new "Can it run DOOM"

mjd and jiga tech need to hear about this

how dare youtube hide this for 2 minutes

4:35 Apple never made an "eMac G5" They only made g4 systems for the eMac line. The last one being the 1.44ghz G4 in 2005 with usb 2.0. (I have that model and even made a hardware modification to overclock the chip to 1.66ghz)

This is awesome to see! The original Xbox 360 prototypes were built from PowerMac G5 so not surprising someone figured out how to get this working! Another legendary challenge would be to attempt a rebuild of the original prototype for the Xbox 360!.

20:08 It's not outdated. Xenos (the GPU of the 360) doesn't support OpenGL at all. It only supports DirectX, and Mac OS X was never designed with DirectX in mind, so there's that.

Holy moly! Its me, feels good to help the comunity. Always ready to help!

I've been dreaming about this since the King-Kong / JTAG days back around 2009. Cool to see it finally become reality. Thanks for the heads-up, and for the new weekend project! :-)

What about a NeXTstation

This channel is unpredictable and i love it

running macos has never been so emotional

Bro, I was trying to run an ancient version of debian yesterday lol. Nice timing.

Thats actually something interesting:  first generation of XBOX had a intel P3 kinda cpu,  and it was used in apple tv 1st gen,  and its capable of running osX tiger intel version,   so second generation of XBOX 360 - uses the a little bit older CPU - still powerPC arch ,  but also capable of running os X tiger....wow.

Never had i clicked a notification so fast

9:50 incredibly niche throwback of a reference lol

Good luck to you 🙏🍀🍀

you are pretty amazing man, you combined two of my favorite things ever - the xbox 360 and mac OS X (up to mojave!) great work!

I enjoyed watching your journey. Thanks for sharing that
