It was never a debate. Your generation wasn't alive to see it .

To anyone that was here to see both Jordan and Lebron's careers, it was never a debate. Jordan does not have to be your personal favorite basketball player, but you can't deny that he is the greatest of all time.

He was the best and the greatest to ever do it 💯🐐

THE GOATTTTTTTTTTTTTT🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐

If you look at it in the cold hard light of day (taking out the emotion for your own favourite individual player), it has never really been a debate that MJ is the GOAT.  He is still the only player in NBA history to win the DPOTY and the Scoring Title (averaging 35ppg) in the SAME season - in NBA history only FOUR times has a player in the same season achieved the following:-

Win the Regular Season MVP
Win the Scoring Title
Win the NBA Title
Win Finals MVP
Be selected onto All NBA 1st Team
Be selected onto All Defensive 1st Team

MJ is responsible for ALL FOUR times.

He also holds the joint record for most All NBA 1st Defensive Team selections at 9 and  in 7 straight years he won the Scoring Title each year in which he never averaged less than 30 ppg and in those 7 straight years he missed a grand total of just 7 games!

His stats are off the charts and quite clearly MJ is the GOAT and it should not even have been a debate.

He brought “love of the game” to the NBA contracts.  He didn’t want  anyone telling him when/where/who he can play basketball with

28:31 longevity never playing 82 games but once

Michael Jordan has the combination of accolades winning and stats. And if your watch him play it’s apparent this guys skill level is ridiculous.

It’s not a conversation, MJ is the goat

In order to really understand his greatness, you have to go back and watch full games. Highlights only tell a fraction of how great he really was. So when us old heads call him the GOAT, its because we were alive to see Jordan's career and Lebron's. And while Lebron is an extraordinary player--the best of his era, he is no where near Jordan

No one talked bad about Jordan. If they did he would take it out on them on the court. Everyone knew that

"The Shot", "The Shrug game", 'The Double Nickel game", "The Flu game" . . .No other player had more iconic moments than MJ.

FYI, the plumbers argument only applied til the early 70s, when NBA players needed a 2nd job. Even then, it shouldn't be used against legends like Russel and Wilt as they could only compete with the players in their era. The game is supposed to evolve. New players see how old players play and adapt accordingly. That means being able to do what the past players were doing does not make them greater players. You are great based on how you dominated the players in your era. And no one dominated his own era more than MJ. 10 scoring titles while winning championships in 6. Only 4 other players have won both the scoring title and championship in the same season and MJ did it more times than all of them combined. There were only 4 times in nba history where a player won the scoring title, regular mvp, defensive 1st team, championship and finals mvp. Those players are: MJ, MJ, MJ and who was the last one again? Right... MJ.

A once in a lifetime talent

And not one time in the video did you hear him say SO JORDAN LEFT THE BULLS TO TEAM UP WITH THIS SUPERSTAR. Jordan wanted to beat the other great players not join them.

Every single person who says lebron is anywhere near Jordan's stratosphere of greatness; I've noticed something that's interesting..  They follow lebrons mindset by always referring back to Le-chokes book of 1001 excuses for every failure or any underachieving situation, or mistakes.. never can man up and say hey this is on me.. I speak truth folks

Check out "jordans underrated years as a wizard" 40 year old on a bad knee coming off broken ribs. Shell of himself athletically but was still putting up numbers and playing defense.

great reaction. nice to see a young man with an open mind

I remember that “this is for daddy” moment as a teen. I cried
