I'm no geologist, but the large mounds 14:58 look like what were described to me as terminal moraines left by receding glaciers when I was a kid in the High Uintas. The mounds are pushed up by the glacier and the rounded stones are deposited on top as the ice melts. I don't know what kind rocks are on top, but the one in the lower left corner 16:26 looks igneous with what could be deep scratches from the glacier's movement...

Those mounds looked like old graves to me

Oh man, once again I'm blown away by your content. These secrets that are held in these wide open spaces,where the sky seems so relevant. I would think that the direction of any marks left behind would hold such deep meaning,under the passing clouds and forefathers gaze,that there has to be a collection of stories left behind to explain. I guess I don't quite grasp the age of the sites that you are visiting yet. I do love this channel. Always so glad to see the notification. I've told as many as I  can make listen of your young bull and mother encounter that touched me, i hope your subs have at least increased by 5 because of it.😅.

I like the terminal moraine idea. We don’t have gps coordinates. Or even  land -
forms for reference. But other clues might be in the sorting of cobbles. The respect for fragile places like this one, whatever their origin, is critical. Thanks for reminding us of these things. JENN A F

Wow...those triangles are easy to recognize as such.  So curious about the mounds!  Imagine the people who lived there and what their lives were like.  Reading and learning clues sure gets one thinking.  My first thought was burial or ritualistic mounds but that's just me.  I don't know your region or history.  But they unquestionably served a purpose!

Hunting dogs always get my attention when I'm out exploring, too.  I always look around to ensure safety.  But I dearly love dogs.  Hunting dogs occasionally follow me home so I contact the local vet to find the owners.

I'm a wild foods forager, especially mushrooms...it's often dry there but do you see much fungi during wetter times?

What if... and just hear me out .. but what if the reason why these stone arrangements are like no man-made structure the archaeologists have ever seen before is because they're not man-made structures at all?

I mean, I'm no archaeologist, but I don't see anything at all that indicates that these were arranged by human beings.  I just see rocks randomly scattered all over a field.  Even the so-called 'triangles” aren't well defined or perfectly aligned or evenly spaced or all the same size, or anything else that would indicate that they serve a purpose.  I think some archaeologist was just desperate to discover something no one else had and let his imagination get the best of him.
