EVEN 36years after his death in 1983 his talent STILL stacks up. One of the Greats.

This man was a genius. His characters are so fantastic.  Watched him as a child and forgot How brillant he was.

In an era when the whole family watched this. Stanley Baxter , thora Hurd etc, legends

In the very first sketch "dad", the great Roy Kinnear, is in fact 20 years younger than Dick Emery!

Rest in peace Dick. Thankyou for all you did that made us laugh. You never used bad language.

Dick Emery was a Genius and by all accounts a really nice bloke too!

I was on a school and trip  and some schoolfriends and I entered a chemist on the Isle of Wight and there was Dick Emery, I was overjoyed and luckily I had a pen and notebook on hand with me and Dick Emery was so kind and obliging to give me an autograph.  I have never forgotten that and he was one of my favourite comedians, a great talent!

Still makes me chuckle all these years later.

Dick Emery followed by Steptoe & Son,what a great time for good comedy, unlike the crap they serve up as comedy today.

Dick Emery was fantastic at this he was a breath of comedy genius back then there wasn’t anybody like him we are not amused

His best sketch was the one where the policeman accused him of driving under the influence, but eventually his chauffer appeared from the bushes - absolute classic

The magic classic comedy; Dick Emery was a one-off!

One of the best comedians ever.

Wish they show more on tv nowdays..
Best comedy ever..

I'd forgotten just how innocent my childhood days were

Who does comedy like this now?
That's right.   Nobody

I'd forgotten how brilliant Dick Emery was - genius

Even if we live to be a thousand never would we see talent like mr Emery 🕯️
