I Turned Windows 7 Into Windows 12

I’m experimenting with Windows 7 again to see how far I can customize it using Windhawk.
I tested Windows 11 mods, Aero, desktop widgets, and a bunch of different Windhawk mods to see what still works on Windows 7 and how far I can push the customization.
Somehow... Windows 7 started looking a little like Windows 12 (no it's not).

I don’t know about you, but I use Classic7. They’ve changed everything perfectly. The lock screen, widgets, the theme itself, the removal of parameters, and so on. You can hardly tell the difference. And it runs on Win 10

If I had to guess, the reason it failed to download itself is because the root ssl certificate for github is "Sectigo Public Server Authentication Root E46" which was issued in 2021, windows 7 eol was January 2020. So your certs are most likely out of date due to no updates, it literally doesn't know if it can trust the connection because it doesn't know who signed the certificate, and thus no download.

Edit: also just want to note that browsers normally have their own list of root certs they trust, hence why firefox was able to trust it just fine but your direct os download in the installer didn't
