Having conditional super strength is a death sentence when that’s the main character’s main thing

Honestly if they weren't going to go in with his quirk, they could have made him just someone who cooks all the time for the crew and made him more of a mom figure, I think it would have suited him

I know it’s a bit sad but I think the best way to have made Sato a compelling character would be for him to be the one character from our main class to choose a different life path aside from anything hero related. Like he could have grown to accept and love his cooking to a point here he decides to just follow that path. It would have given him a distinct difference from the rest of the class I think. This guy is overshadowed from the very start because he just has a less interesting less powerful version of our main characters starting power set. (Super strength).

"I put my OC in My Hero Academia, is it too noticeable?"

I have 2 potentials.
1. Have his quirk be to empower sugar directly, allowing him to empower his classmates. Or to further that, to have his quirk affect food to give power ups. Affecting spice increases heat, salt increases durability,  etc.

2. He should have had more of a direct help to Deku in empowering his body, leaning in to give advice on how to get used to a body that grows in power. It could have given him his moment without changing a whole lot.

Personality-wise, i think you dont have to change much, but make him have some complexity of timing. He simultaneously rushes in, but also is hesitant because he has to calculate plans before his quirk "dumbs him down". He could have had moments to advise the other characters of choices, regret of not planning, or fear of losing control.

He also won the dorm room contest by the girls.

I saw the title and thought you were going to talk about Koji Koda😭 Rikido Sato could have been in class b and no one would notice his disappearance.

His design is literally based on an anime wrestler. There are already other characters that have super strength and hit really hard. Just make him the grappler. Just like ojiro with martial arts, have him give the same vibe with baking and pro wrestling. Have a mini training arc earlier on where ojiro and Sato teach Deku striking, take downs and holds. Have Sato help Deku shoot a promo. Or make Sugarman a wrestling mantle passed down through generations. Possible super moves for sato can be:

-GumDropkick
-Lollipop Lariat
-Candy Crush (a bear hug)
-Sugar Bomb (a powerbomb)
- Sugar overdose(double sugar consumption and go into a frenzy)

If you want the baker route, have try to come up with the perfect pastry for his quirk, always experimenting. Instead of converting sugar to power for himself, he could make someone else convert the sugar to power with whatever he bakes ppl. Have him be able to buff others in a fight

i wanted him to make him better i would have give him the same powers as captain diabetes from the fractured but whole, i mean they have the same powers the only difference is that captain diabetes powers are actually good instead of getting brain damage when eating sugar he gets hulked, how a parody character is better than sugarman

I just need Sato to be in more involved in events. Seeing Sato work with Fatgum along with Kirishima and Amajiki would’ve been cool, or maybe since his quirk was introduced during the final exams arc, could’ve been cool to see him try and help out tiger and mandalay against Magne and spinner during the training camp to maybe add a protector side to him. Like maybe he runs off to find his friends or goes to help tiger and mandalay. It could also have Kirishima have a bit of hesitance on going to help or scared to, to better set up his arc or smth, might be out of character but it could work, who knows 🤷‍♂️

It's like they tried to fuse Momo and Deku, then ended up with Tail.

I think what I would personally have done with Sato is having him join Kirishima in working with Fatgum. Fatgum is literally perfect for Sato. Then, Sato would join in on the Overhaul Raid Arc. He would either join Kirishima and FG against Rappa. Or would have his own moment entirely. The chance for Soto to do something was right there, and Horikoshi completely wasted it.

Honestly, I think that his quirk should have been a mix of him and that Bigfoot guy from class 1B
The more sugar he eats, the more bigfoot he gets

I still cant believe people believe Sato is less useless then Hagakure sometimes

The Sero comparison to Sato is so funny to me.

Sato is so boring that he is more boring than the guy who's just supposed to be a normal guy.

I always liked how his quirk gave him an interest completely outside of hero work

He could become a nutritionist-hero and start an agency that caters to heroes whose quirks have dietary requirements.

Give him a chef like costume or a bear/bee hybrid suit, something other than the bland getup he has in the show.

Okay so imagine if he had a BIG lollipop weapon

In the final battle of Movie 2 all of class A took part except for Koda and Sato who just sat in a cave the entire time.

Genuinely half of the class could've been cut out and put into class B and the story wouldn't have changed that much
