The offense right now needs to be in 21 and 22 personnel for most of the game full stop.  Play to our strengths of a great run blocking o-line and a moveable chess piece in Gibbs an elite pass catching TE and good complimentary pieces in Vaki and Brock Wright.  We shouldnt even be trying for big plays down field with JAMO / Teslaa since teams are just putting two over the top anyway.  Just move the ball methodically down the field and keep defensive snaps to the bear minimum while wearing out the other teams defense.  Petzing is living in 11 personnel and its not working to sustain drives which is what our defense needs right now.  Re-establish a run first and short game mentality which is more reliant on physicality than finese.  Do that and watch the defense improve overnight.

I used my drive, today, from Cape Cod to Harrisburg, Pa. to listen to all the talking heads say the same thing. “Shep has to go”. While I will admit to having a better understanding of why people feel that way and, even though I now agree that he should be fired, I’m still of the opinion that it’s wrong.

The single best reason I heard for firing Shep was his failure to prepare his players. We can’t deny that. And it has led to all of those last place defensive rankings.

But if it falls in a DC when he fails to prepare his players, how is it not the fault of the HC and the GM when they fail to prepare and develop that DC?

Shep has failed. That’s undeniable. But firing him only serves the fans their pound if flesh and serves to cushion Brad from his shared responsibility in it all.

It makes me SICK to see the spears embedded in the scapegoat, while those equally responsible are spared.

I’m done with Brad. I’ve hesitated saying that for the same reasons you guys are still hesitant. He’s done good things here. But the best things he did were pretty much hot out of the gates. What has he done, lately?  What good is any of the good doing for the Lions, now?  Over the last three years, he has all but completely shit the bed. But we’re blaming the coaches. We’re ok with sacrificing coaches, instead of the guy who stubbornly refuses to acknowledge his mistakes and just keeps making the same mistakes, year after year.

Firing Shep changes nothing. An established DC might make marginal improvements, but nobody is winning with what Brad has done to this secondary.

I’m done with Broke Dick Brad. I’m done with Bargain Basement Brad. And if Shiela extends him after all of this, I’m done believing that the Ford family gives a FUKK about anything other than selling tickets. Because Brad has done enough to keep the Lions interesting, but he’s done far more to prevent greatness than he’s done to create it.

If I were Shiela, I’m firing Brad, immediately and giving Dan the GM/HC title. I’m encouraging him to lean heavily on the experience in the front office, but telling him he has the rest of this year and next season to turn recent regression into some kind of tangible progress, or I’m scrapping the whole thing and starting over, while I still have some years left with the only good Brad has done for this franchise.

Same old overplay for the underlay . The ownership puts a few dollars in to get winning players.  Then they dismantle the chemistry because they are killing the s energy of the fans. Listen this team has elite ownership but hasn't come close to a super bowl they are just selling tickets get the fans energy up then get rid of the winning players it'll be 70 years after this year . They don't want to win. The only TV team in history that their greats walk away in their prime

That last drive was so disappointing, couldn't even get one first down!!

All facts gentlemen. Yall talking real talk

Who will be our next GM, Coach and QB?

Dan's fire is gone. Brads ego is outta control. Neither one can make anything close to the right decision for the team. Blow it up,  the window is closed and the dream is dead.

It's Kelvins scheme and playcalling.   Of course it helps if he's not calling plays or using his scheme.  He doesn't have a clue

Will frfr I fk with you on your commentary….a Super Bowl Team?!?!?! Maybe a few superbowl caliber players on the team, but NAW my man the Lions are polarized and they’re imploding right before our eyes, and it’s sad to watch.  I feel your pain brothers 👊🏽

Wow!!!!!. Just when you think you heard it all!!!.😡. Have mercy!!!!. Let's go lions one pride 🦁❤. Superfan.

It was a team loss. The defense was shit. The offense can't score in the 1st quarter. And Dan doesn't seem to be able to make adjustments throughout the game. If we miss the playoffs again this year, we're looking at the fasttrack to a franchise reset.

An elite offense that can't score.
I blame Petzing. He makes the same losing calls repeatedly. Offense had ball final 2 minutes and couldn't score.

Between Sam and Jameson, Sam is the better player for the offense. Id rather trade Jamo tbh and sign Laporta. When LaPorta is out, the whole offense suffers. Don't really notice if Jamo is out.

Dan Campbell’s arrogance on 4rth downs continues to cost this team a championship.
Mind boggling 😵‍💫

Sorry. This team needs to have a reckoning. If they lose to AZ the excuses will be even worse. What is going to happen with the Bears and Vikings? Germany game will be the worst defeat since France in 1939. Then a quick turn around with jet lag? And you all can get ready for a miserable Thanksgiving with Ben going for blood. The worst is yet to come. Brad will be dealing at the trade deadline. As a seller. Wondering if Sheila will make a move. If she’s as smart as she seems I hope she is at least shopping for a GM. Kicking the tires.

What about Ryan???

Sean McDermott

That's a very good one!!!!. College defensive coordinator. Never crossed my mind😅. Let's go lions one pride 🦁❤. Superfan

Can we teach one or two of these 12 WR we have to tackle so they can play CB?  T. KENNEDY TIME! 😂😂😂 Also when is Abney going to get some clock?

Any defensive scheme would be better than what shep is calling
