The craziest thing about Perry being a Biblically accurate Platypus? He was also a prophetic platypus, because the fact that platypuses were biofluorescent wasn't discovered until years after Perry was first introduced. 😂

3:10 The creator of the character Perry The Platypus, who is also the voice of Dr Doof'nshmrtz, was thrilled when he found out about this. See, he says that he did not choose the color for any particular reason, he just liked it and thought a teal crime fighting platypus was funny. Dan Povenmire is his name and he is actually pretty active on social media including tiktok and youtube shorts.

The funny part about Drop Bears is that, with all the nonsense Australia already has, Drop Bears sound very real. Not sure if I should laugh or feel sorry for any Australian resident.

13:00 While drop bears are just something Ausi's came up with to screw with tourists, every year at least a few tourists learn what the inside of an Australian hospital looks like because they decided to pick up, and try to cuddle with a wild koala. While koalas will not generally attack without a reason...manhandling them without consent is absolutely a reason and while they are herbivores, they live in Australia. They wouldn't be there without a way to defend themselves right? They have sharp claws and teeth and they know how to use them.

If I had a nickel for every time a whole country officially declared war on an entire species of bird and then proceeded to lose, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice.

It ain't just MoreParz.  Australians have been using the Drop Bear to troll foreigners for at least decades, as I first came across the myth of their existence on the internet in the early 00s.

Emus are some of the most unserious birds on the planet, LOVE seeing them in toks, just being goobers.

The platypus is and pretty much always has been my absolute favorite animal ever

Frank you are an icon. Your way with words alludes me

The saddest part is that drop bears just sound par for course for Australia so much so that it's more surprising that they're not real.

LOL, the "Drop Bear", Parz's idea of an April Fool's joke. Good one. 🤣

Adding onto the weird platypus features, they don’t have a stomach, and they have a prehensile tails (because why tf not)

There’s also more to them that is hard to explain so I’ll leave it to someone else

Hi, fluffy. The only reason I would ever go to Australia is to study the continent’s native bat populations for fun. Studying bats is a hobby of mine.

0:45 SAME! Everytime i hear platypus i remember "oh its a platypus, puts on hat ITS PERRY THE PLATYPUS! ". 6:55 the consequences of your actions, i don't know why you traveled to Australia but i hope you stay safe there lol

Aussie reacting to Aussie creatures how nice 😂

You know, I understand people being terrified of Australia, especially given that the things that get the most attention about it are all of the deadly and venomous animals, but some of the things there are really cool.  Take the new Ballista spider they discovered, which Parz has done a recent short on.  Their method of catching prey is not only ingenious, but also fascinating!

The drop bear is not a real animal, however, there was a large predatory marsupial closely related to Koalas, wombats, and kangaroos, that did hunt from trees, known as Thylacoleo, or the marsupial lion.
