Who can fit all their clothing items. This is why most sell or you buy trends that are not going to fit you or you would probably buy for yourself. I have seen people use AI generated pictures or card stock.

Great Video - helped alot - I'm gonna list some items and trying to figure out how Depop works. I know its about 11 months old, but I have a question regarding offers because I just had this issue on EBAY. How long do you wait on someone to purchase the item once you have accepted their offer and sent the msg? Ex - if someone else makes an offer 2 hours later after your first offer you accepted, what do you do?  The previous person should be SOL :)  On EBAY there is a preference that you can set that requires a payment method be charged if an offer is accepted. I love that! I recently did not have it set on one of my items and the person never paid. I tried to message them, but on EBAY there was no way to do it. It seems messaging is only enabled after a sale is made or at least on my acct, there was no way for me to msg this person. So just curious how you handle it on Depop. Thanks!

One thing I realized the more you post the more the algorithm pushes out your shop and your items you posted. That’s why top sellers are top sellers. They post the most items. I saw from another video that top sellers list at least 60 items a week and this not an exact estimate but if there are four weeks in a month, that’s 60×4, so that’s 240 items a month.🥴

I always use the machine to get a receipt then place in the box.

I find the 'land of lowballers' to be EBAY. Have sold there for decades and still do but not very happy with eBay lately and feel jazzed about getting started on Depop. A lot to learn so THX.

Just started selling on Depop. The only thing is, I listed my bank account and the money has not gone in there. It wants me to scan my phone number but it won't allow me to do that. :(

Fast forward... How are you dealing with the new depop shipping updates? my sales dropped TREMENDOUSLY! I get messages about items being over priced in shipping all day and its become a huge  problem for me.

What about makeup, beauty and skincare? Does it do well on Depop? I want to move my nwt makeup and beauty off of Ebay because I am tired of getting false Vero claims from companies on Ebay and Ebay never looks out for the seller.

Thanks for the tips! I’m new to Depop and still in the learning. My problem is the photo listing. The photo uploads and it chops off the top and bottom. An example would be a pair of pants, the full length the top is chopped off. I try to click on it as a buyer would to see if you can view it but that doesn’t work. Hope this makes sense.

You mentioned not selling NIKE, but I would think NIKE graphics T-shirts should be alright? Any idea on that?

I know this video is from a couple months ago, but I’ve been on Depop for about a month  with one sale. My shop has been automatically boosted since I started the account. I discount from Friday-Sunday. I’m not getting any likes or traction. I’m listing pretty consistently…I’ve relisted and changed some hashtags and titles. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong 😅😅

Whats it like when you are new on depop donuou still get sales if your oics are good and your items are sought after. Is it just the more consistent listing the better. Im new to depop but years selling on other platforms but they are pretty dead

I belong to a Facebook group of Depop sellers and I hear that having a white background gets you tagged as using a stock photo ………which then results in your account being removed permanently.
On that group, I am also hearing more instances of situations where a seller gets notified 3 to 6 months after they make a sale, that there is a problem with the item and that Depop has taken the money back out of their account. That sounds like something I don’t know if I want to be part of anymore.
I’m also hearing that Depop will not release your funds until it’s $100 and even then you have to wait several weeks to get the money
With shipping, remember it cannot go to Alaska or Hawaii if you use a Depop label. I made that mistake once and got an email from Depop that told me if it happened again, “things would become very unpleasant for me. “

When I first started selling on depop and I was reading the information depop was giving about how to sell on their platform & they said that photographs that stood out (I can't recall exactly how they worded it) but it had me buying backdrops which is what I'm currently using and while I make sales it just has me curious as to whether that maybe that was not the best advice and or I misinterpreted it anyhow this was a great video I enjoyed it learned some stuff so thank you for making it.

I just created a Depop this week for all my Y2K stuff. I sell full time on Poshmark. I’m getting some likes but so far no sales yet. This video is right on time!
