Join me on an unforgettable 3-day adventure along the wild and beautiful south coast of Cornwall, exploring the coastline by 4-metre SurfCat, fishing, freediving and foraging for some of the incredible food our shores have to offer.
We begin in Falmouth, one of Europe’s largest natural harbours, where I set out in search of gilt-head bream — one of the tastiest fish in our waters. From there, the adventure takes me into the beautiful Helford Estuary, where I put my freediving skills to the test, heading underwater to forage for scallops and razor clams.
As the weather improves, I head further west towards Penzance, where the fishing really starts to come alive. Exploring new marks and targeting a mixture of species with lures, I encounter plenty of squid and some unexpected catches along the way.
Along the journey I also meet up with some old friends who have appeared on the channel before, sharing good food, good fishing and the simple pleasure of exploring Cornwall from the water.
From fishing and freediving to foraging and cooking, this was a proper coastal adventure — discovering just how much food and adventure can be found along the Cornish shoreline.
It's been a long time since my last upload but I hope this was worth the wait!

The creeks are interesting to explore, and the Helford River is only 20 minutes away.
We will definitely go there again.
