Hot Take: Napoleon was right to not accept the Frankfurt proposals. Aside from the fact that breaking up the Confederation of the Rhine would of dismantled the buffer between France and the other coalition countries, making future invasions easier like they were during the revolutionary wars, Metternich didn’t have full backing from the other coalition parties to honor these requests. The only ones who were okay with Napoleon keeping his throne was Austria. Prussia was in the fence, Russia was eager to win glory and prestige for defeating Napoleon and avenge the Russian invasion and Britain would never in a million years allow the French empire to continue to exist. Basically the Frankfurt proposals were an unrealistic and manipulative tactic that Napoleon was right to not accept.

i mean if napeolon had accepted lol i mean eventuly there might have been another collation but napoelon surriving is such a situation would have been bad for the moanrchs since when napeolon was in elba the maonrchs were already rolling back revoutionaly and napoelnic refroms.So they doing that and napeolon being in power.Even if there was another collation agianst him would have been bad for the monarchs if surrived more years then in 1816 you have the year without summer.So napoelon would have had time maybe and been in a much better place for any future war

If Napoleon the second done any one of this thing against his own grandfather there would have been no state around him to make alliance with the best thing he could have done for them to creation of Italian throne under his grandfather and allowing hungarians to have some kind of constitution under Austrian throne
