My dad kicked out his 2nd wife at 2 weeks from having their wedding because she forbade him to take care of one medical condition my sister had. She said she was his only family now, not us. Her suitcases were out the door faster than you could say “witch stepmom”.

I have a 15 year old step son.. I cannot imagine ever, EVER trying to get my husband to choose between us, or wanting him to not be around
Even when he gets attitude and struggles in certain classes .. I'm THERE for him. Thats so terrible and be should leave that woman. The fact that she is encouraging a man to abandon his daughter? Absolutely no way

People making their partner choose them over their own child will always be the most DESPICABLE ! thing to me.

My stepmother made my dad choose between her and me. He didn't even hesitate. He chose her. Told me "you're gonna be gone eventually when you're 18 anyways and I want to spend my life with her.
My mom took off when I was 2 so going to her wasn't an option. So I was kicked out at 17 bc my stepmother didn't like me. Still to this day, 25 years later, my dad doesn't think he did anything wrong.
I no longer speak to him

Me, in the medical field, frantically saying "get bloodwork!" Repeatedly during the "I'm worried about my recent sudden brain fog and change in behavior" one.

I hope he's okay

2:24 when someone asks you to choose between your child and them… Technically, they made the choice for you. Toss them.

sadly ive learned from personal experience that someone leaving things open and leaving things on out of no where like that can often be a brain problem like brain damage or a tumor. If he's aware and can't seem to catch himself doing it, he might be going through something serious

When you marry someone, their kids are non-negotiable. Don’t marry someone if you can’t treat their child well.

@lilytilson1808 1 year ago

For that first one, I was that kid growing up. My step mother hates me to the day but she won’t say that to my father. She has manipulated him into treating me poorly and feeling disappointed in me. Best advice is to leave her. I now struggle with ptsd, bpd, and extreme abandonment issues. No amount of love for her is worth the hell she will go through for simply living.

There is not a person in the world that I would discard my children for. My friend just went to a therapist and the therapist said that people should love their spouse MORE than anyone, even their children. I'm wondering how she is therapist and hope that she isn't a parent. I would 100% divorce someone that wanted me to ship my kid off permanently.

I have a 15yo daughter and sometimes the attitude is horrible. But I just try to make her laugh then she can’t be mad anymore

6:58 sounds like he was never charged. No statute of limitation on murder.

@ronswasonbutcuter4474 1 year ago

That first story is wild. Obviously the wife sucks and you should leave her?? She wants you to abandon your child?? She sucks why are you with her

If someone's out of your league: CHANGE YOUR STANDARDS THAT YOU'VE MADE FOR YOURSELF. You and your time are just as valuable as anyone else's. If you have in the back of your mind that you're not attractive, every failed relationship will be blamed on that alone, leaving you sour and mean, and then you'll be ugly on the inside which is WAY worse that being ugly on the outside.
Simply say "hey, I really enjoy the time I spend with you, and would love to do it more often, outside our friend group".

7:30 dude needs to see a doctor, pronto. Behaviors like that coming on suddenly and with no reasonable explanation are cause for concern.

@forthewinberly 1 year ago

For the "brain dead" guy, he needs to go see a doctor ASAP. Because sudden lapses in memory or judgement that are sustained can be signs of very serious underlying health issues.
