Is it the case that for any heteronuclear diatomic, if one of the atoms is nitrogen or any element with a lower atomic number than that, then the π2p orbital is lower in energy than the σ2p?

Hey! I have a question: you're not considering the potencial energies of 2s' orbitals, right? the energy of 2s to oxygen and carbon have more than 12 eV of difference, so I thought they're not supposed to interact.. and when will you consider the symmetries of the group point?
