I must admit I do an eyeroll when someone says "it's not in my colour palette". I think that we instinctively know when a colour does or doesn't suit us.Whilst you may not suit brown, you would definitely suit a copper/rust colour, and your first fabric will definitely suit you. The cream fabric washes you out. The ? navy and white is just stunning. You would love the second hand bookshop in our market town. I can spend hours in there.

Your feelings about the jersey are completely valid! That is definitely cream and you are right, it doesn’t give you the same feeling / look as white does on your skin. I would definitely email them about it if only to bring it to their attention. Sorry you didn’t get what you expected!❤

Hello Karen Marie. I absolutely love the kaki viscose. I agree either the dress over over shirt. You would probably get more wear out of the shirt but both would be very nice.  That green is definitely your color. Exciting. I can’t wait to sew something soon.

Now is definitely the time to make as many memories with your daughters as you can. Of course you will always continue to make memories but your relationship evolves as they grow, move out and develop into their adult lives. Pairs is definitely on my bucket list. Actually, a bucket is too small to hold all things I want to do..it’s probably more accurate to describe it as a wine barrel list! Shakespeare and Co. is definitely now on the list. Hi, just wanted to say that I experienced the same thing from that shop. A fabric called “natural” and it was light yellow when I got it. Didn’t look yellow in the pictures. Thanks for sharing your new fabrics and memories from your trip. Tina

I haven’t caught up with all the vlogs I missed whilst on holiday, but like you I struggle with getting my arms out. I am currently trying to get them out regularly to overcome that. So I completely get it!  xxx

I'm sad about the vanilla colored stripey jersey. The khaki with orange is very nice. Definitely a "go"!

Can someone else enjoy a make in the creamy yellow striped jersey? Or make relaxing lounge around the house pants? It is hard with colours on screen and in shop they can look quite different. I purchased dining chair covers that were described as, and looked sandy/beige - nope, really butter cream/yellow. Just as well it is for the spare dining chairs so I don't have to look at them often. One online retailer I've used offers a thread match and they put a link to that thread. I use the thread colour comparison with the fabric to work out how true it is on screen.
I've just printed out the Sew House Seven Remy top (long sleeve edition, with front seam/slit), but now having a fabric choice crisis after a last minute change of mind. I'm on day 2 of repondering now ... 🙄
I should add, day 1 was spent rewashing/drying the new selection of fabrics as I like to inadvertently shrink my finished makes in the laundry and still haven't gotten over the last one.

I would feel the same as you about the cream stripe jersey. Personally, I wouldn’t make a top in a base colour that I know doesn’t do me any favours. It will just sit in the drawer not being worn, taking up much needed space. Did you get enough to make some bottoms?

Mind the Maker and Meet Milk have lovely fabrics but I have yet to convince myself they'd be worth the price. Colors are so hard to trust on a screen! What a disappointment when the color was off on one of them! What about doing a colorblocked t-shirt? A solid blue or green for the yoke and the stripe on the bottom half? Just a thought.
