Make sure to dig in the trash on a royalty run too. One dual wield, and you’ve got another 10 hours to spend on a free win!

Is this the coveted Thrid hand use case

1. Wields infinitely cosmic powers but sits back and lets his minions do all the work - Regent (or something like that).
2. Regent's face is plastered on the eternal greed curse.

Lore accurate biblical greed

Imagine you die to the next mob after doing all of that

3:04 barb huh, must be the thrid hidden card in sts2

> "You just need this one card!"
> Looks inside
> Actually you need a pretty specific set of several cards and a deck that can stall a fight forever (or at least like 15 turns until your randomly generated cards can fully neuter the enemy)

the zen state of stalling is a pleasure known to few

it's relaxing

Holy, this is an actual use case for thrid hand, twas foretold long ago

Liner Notes:
Kilroy's videos are so great! The bit of his video I showed here is just a teaser from the first 30 seconds, and he goes on to break the game wide open. The link to that video is in the description, but I'd also recommend this amazing rabbit hole into the Thieving Hopper's "steal a card" mechanic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fepOx0eVfDs   Really amazing videos all over the channel.

Jmac's run on Twitch was actually so entertaining. I glossed over some of the bits, but the combo transitions between many different setup states, and it's really incredible to watch him navigate it all while figuring things out on the fly. Definitely recommend checking out the VOD for that one.

For the video, the first cut was like 12 minutes and there's a ton on the cutting room floor. The post-combo rant got chopped down by like 75%, but the basics are: when you look at all the most common stalling culprits in Spire 1 (Reaper, Bites, Bird-Faced Urn, Incense Burner), none of them made it into Spire 2. I think their design philosophy is very clear. I also know that top players aren't really caring about win streaks that much yet. It's nice for getting a Reddit thread made in your honor, but I don't think most of them are going to do this for a slightly higher chance at Win 21 or whatever.

That said, my issue with it is mostly about the emotions it gives the player. Playing optimally should be joyful and when these setups exist (this one really doesn't take much...), you get this weird cognitive dissonance of like... "what am I doing here"? Am I trying to win or aren't I. Best is when "having fun" and "playing well" are two arrows pointed in approximately the same direction.

Not being able to get nightmare from discovery would be a brutal hit to take.

I love the growing tapestry of inside jokes this channel is slowly building up. You've got comedy chops that keeps it all entertaining :) (I'd even use the word engaging if it wasn't such a marketing-tainted metric)

"After finishing the combo, continue the combo..." ahh setup

“Just need royalties” my ass

Honestly? I feel like this is completely valid as a way to achieve an infinite, considering the amount of effort, time, and setup that's needed to even pull it off. Kinda' like Binding of Isaac's rigging, or Noita's... uhh... entire game. I get that it goes against the devs' design phillosophy, but I just think it's a cool niche interaction that 90% of players will never do, kinda' like Naninfing in Balatro.

I can't believe jmac_sts didn't think of simplifying their setup with Thrid Hand smh

I bet you let out a satisfied chuckle when you included Barb in this video, huh?

I’m in the sweet spot of possessing the  min/max urge without also having the patience for a fight to go over 20 turns. Around 4 minutes in I realized I will never feel compelled to do this infinite- phew!

0:59 Me describing how often you find a thrid hand joke under a riptidelab video (I lied)

"The only thing you need is royalties" proceeds to detail a laundry list of additional conditions and needed cards

But what if I just cast Hand of Greed Infinite Rats
