I thought Jackpot was garbage... until I watched OnePunMan play it.

2 strikes upgraded from training dummy was possibly the funniest middle finger spire moment I’ve seen to date

"the run started by enchanting flame barrier to cost 3 every turn." Peak comedy, lol

A 0 cost jackpot conjures 5% of the dopamine a 45 card sly turn blesses one with.

Jackpot gamba is always the play, even if it isn't good, because you can just ignore when it's bad and always pop off when it's good

Whenever I see a new video of yours, its like getting 3 adrenaline from jackpot🔥🔥🔥

I got a casino add on this video. Youtube truly understands how much I love gambling

Liner notes:
I feel like a lot of the strength of Jackpot depended on how reliably the card could produce energy. It's hard to commit all or most of your turn to a 3-energy attack especially on turns when you also need to produce block.

For silent I do think it helps to be Sly-oriented. Many of the hits discard (Calculated Gamble, Prepared, Hidden Daggers), so if you have Sly cards in hand you're likely to generate a way to play them.

Still not sold on Parasol, although I've only taken it once. I've heard top players say it's worth it if you can get to at least two shops. Weirdly I did like Calling Bell in Spire 1, and this seems like that relic kind of taken to the extreme.

Go give Opem a follow for some top-level play: https://www.twitch.tv/onepunman_

Thanks for watching and for all the support!

Of course he slies the sly way even when playing silent. I took that as a personal slight.

Completely agree with that Synchronize take, it went from better hotfix to one of the best cards in the game. I wouldn't mind if it switches rarity with a card like Helix Drill or something to make it a rare.

Jackpot is super fun but what throws me for a loop specifically with necro is that I think upgraded versions of cards that cost zero get added to the pool of cards. So I keep thinking I can roll seance, but I can't. It's only with necro though! 😂
Nice summary, and I've had a relatively similar experience with Jackpot with it performing very well with ironclad, defect and necro.

I definitely have started taking calamity because of your video. I love these deep dives into colorless cards, cause they’re definitely the least likely for players to stumble into playing with them and finding out they’re good. Might try picking up a few more jackpots after this.

10+ minutes?? Big day for Jackpot enjoyers 🎰
Love your commentary and how you explored it with each character!! I personally feel that Jackpot saves me from bad combats or runs most of the time, so happy to see that basically confirmed here
