You guys make that look so easy. But somebody who don't know what we are doing could really make a nice mess and have Clay over half the house.

I like the idea of putting a mirror on the other side of the wheel so you can see the profile of what you're working on without taking a step back. I hadn't heard that one before.

Hi. I'm 79 with a damaged left hand. But for over 45 years I was a production potter. You have a very good start. I put a small sponge on a chop stick with a rubberband to get water cleaned up in small pieces like a mug. Two things that you might want to learn is a left handed pull and the use of ribs. There is a very good young potter from Ukraine doing videos. Great style. If you put in his first name in YouTube you can watch his videos. Vladik Oladik. Take care

As a new Potter, to the wheel that is, This was very satisfying to watch. I enjoyed it and I will try to implement this technique soon. Looked so effortless! Imnsure otbwont gonthat smooth for me. Ive only taken 3 classes so far and have made some pretty wonky looking bowls and my forst mug is hilarious!! 😂 Thanknyou forbsharing/posting. Your new subbie to your channel. ❤

Hi. I love the video. I am a beginner and need more details of where you are actually placing your left finger tips (side of finger or tips) and right fingers ( sides of finger or finger tips) on the clay to create the vase shape and where to apply less or more pressure inside to form curved areas shaped on the MUG. Some videos are great if one has innate knowledge already but for me, I don't know ....what I don't know! Thank you in advance.

This video is so helpful!! I'm in a ceramics class in college and we've been throwing on the wheel for a few weeks, but due to covid we only get 3 hours a week on campus. And this video is so helpful because I keep making little bowls and I really want to make a mug
