Get rid of Super rugby rules. We need to play under international rules and laws.
If we don’t do this our set piece will not improve.
No SCRUM,No World cup.

Ross was clearly VERY well prepped for this interview 👏 Excellent interviewing by you Jamie. Loved this. One of the very best discussions. From a (hopefully not so one-eyed!) Bok fan 👏💚😉🖤👊

Ross and Jamie together on a podcast. How good was this. Ross is very intelligent and well thought out in his perspectives.

Rennie started the Narratives and Rassie responded….not the other way around please

I’m a passionate Boks supporter but have always admired the ABs. 🇿🇦 endured the time when 🇳🇿 “ruled the world” and under Rassie, have created a dominant force while under a few coaches, lost their #1 status and now it’s catch-up time. I look forward to see what NZ rugby are going to change in their strategies & structures to reclaim their place while the SA rugby continues to grow their conveyor of talent base. It’s going to be an interesting few years ahead and we must not forget Northern Hemisphere’s rugby growth.

Martin the only one that doesn't have a selective memory 🎉🎉

Love Ross' analyzes and just his overall view of rugby in general!

Watching Tasman, Thur 24, Shannon Frizell gives their team options that were missing from the ABs game. Direct play, draws multiply lines of defenders, sets players into space up the middle. Frizell has a touch of Lomu about him, power w/ great balance for a big boy!

Aloha Katoa,

The ‘HIGH BALL’ - we’ve been through this before as you all know.

We got Mick Byrne from AFL & we trained our ‘Bomb Squad’ to diffuse bombs by having a big set of Kahunas & catching the ball with confidence.
Izzy Dagg, Corey Jane & Jules was it ?
Our All Blacks have the skills to nail this.
We just need to back their skills & let the players catch a high ball how they would naturally.
& practice…
Cheers

To insinuate that Rennie is innocent in the media game is a bit naive gents. Lol, just check, your bias is showing😉

Rassie is the first coach to legitimize transformation..made it about performance and quality and moved the publics thinking  on the issue in South Africa and the world, rugby aside that will be his real legacy.

Oh dear here we go again, you guys just can can’t help yourselves. The AB playbook was clear for all to see: 1) AB’s can’t handle the scrum 2) Scrum question planted by the AB’s  in the press conference  3) Rennie answers by accusing the Boks of “walking around”  and asking the referee in the to act (interfere) 4) AB’s actively practice swinging the scrum using the front row, locks and flankers to turn the scrum. 5) Referee ( Gardner) gets on board blowing the Boks (actually quoting Rennie on the field)….…… DSPN and Aotearoa stop this nonsense please it’s unbecoming!…how about the AB’s just get better with the set piece in stead of trying to influence the ref in the press or trying to change the rules of tue game!……

I watched an Interview by Rassie, apparently he was a Player in his day, but was always overlooked so he asked the top player of the day what he was doing wrong and what he needed to do to improve apparently the top guy was quite brutal with his assessment pointing out how rassie was a slacker and obnoxious etc, which popped Rassies ego and he began annylising himself and Rugby intensely from that time and has never stopped since. He is a man who knows himself, his players and the game of Rugby more than anyone at this moment in time. The Depth he has created with the Boks will cement his legacy for a long time to come. We kiwis can only hope we get such a man as Head coach. Lets hope Dave can at least come close.

3 stand out moments this year for the abs. 1. Luke Jacobson needlessly wreckless clean out. Abs were about to put an all time beating on Ireland but swung the momentum massively with dumb play. 2. Leory Carter falling off 2 hopeless tackles. 3. Vaa'i braindead penalty deep in the Boks half, 8 points back. Swing momentum back into the Boks favour. There's something similar about all 3 of these guys

Rennie said so much in the press conference outside of official channels. So much so the ref even said I have watching the press conference. Let’s scrum straight. Karl this is you most one eyed talk I have ever seen you give I am disappointed you haven’t maintained your impartiality.

Extraordinaria entrevista a Ross. El nivel de detalle de toda la información brindada es espectacular. Sin dudas, es para ver y escuchar más de una vez todo ese análisis

The only thing the NPC and NZ Super Rugby Teams all have in common is the mentality towards scrums and mauls, using it as a launch pad for an attack rather than really dominating it to force a penalty. The last time i really saw a team have a weapon of a scrum in the southern hemisphere apart from Argentina is Fiji at the RWC in 2015, holding for long segments and often winning penalties, especially against the Wallabies and other teams. Not forgetting that ABs side too which had gun front row.

Rennie started it by putting the spot light on the scrum “walking around”, Rassie just amplified it “we’re’ not walking around…we’re scrumming through”. Then the refs started being pedantic over the break foot, then NZ wasn’t happy about it…. Don’t try to change the narrative and try to blame it all on Rassie. It takes two to tango… 5:23

My uncle Bob Waldron was an All Black first five triallist shortly after WW2, playing for Southland and then (ugh) Otago. He trained by himself kicking the ball for an up and under and then catching it. He developed superb skills.
Would be a good idea if our professional players did the same.

Guys, just be honest. Rennie poked a bear. He set up the narrative using terms like "slowing down", "run them off their feet", "walking around", consistently. He was trying to influence the narrative from the get-go. He was found out. Don't paint him as an innocent bystander. His intention, I believe, was to out-Rassie Rassie, and I think he managed. He got in Rassie's head.
