I left the church at age 19 just through basic research.  It was difficult.  I loved my ward and the members.  But the Church is so EASY to debunk, that I'm always bewildered members don't leave in droves.

The truth does not fear investigation.

#10, which talks about the temple penalties, reminded me of the first time I went through the temple  My husband and I were converts and I was seven months pregnant with our first son.  You may imagine my feelings when I was instructed to pantomime slashing my abdomen.  I was never truly comfortable attending the temple after that, though as a good Mormon, I tried. I have now resigned my membership and feel as if a huge monkey has been lifted from my back.  There really is life after Mormonism.

As a former Mormon, nice review.  Very accurate.

Lol I like how this videos title makes it seem like he is gonna defend mormonism but really he is just debunking, gotta catch as many mormens as posible lol

they’re a few things i’ve learned going to the LDS church, i’m not baptized, however one of the most shocking things that doesn’t get much exposure i’ve learned is that LDS church’s believes the Garden of Eden happened in modern day Missouri, this isn’t something i just googled either this is something I learned in gospel principles class

I love the fairy tale about the rotating barges.

dude, please come back. ur voice is so soothing u could talk about anything and i’d listen lol

It's easy for one to deny another's statements.  But to deny such well researched, multiple witness statements and accounts IS indeed quite tough.  Facts are often times hard to swallow.

Proverbs 30:5-6  "Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.  Do not add to his words, lest he rebuke you and you be found a liar."  This scripture should let people know that any sect that misinterprets, twists, adds to or subtract from the canon of the authorized Bible, is heretical and cannot be considered true.   2 Peter 2:3 "But false prophets also arose among the people, "Just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.  And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed..  And in their greed they will exploit you with false words."

Bishop " where is your tithe?" me " here it is, you have to see it with your spiritual eyes"

Left the church over 10 years ago   And became an atheist not long after, In the process of deconstructing the religion, this definitely helps , thanks.

Fair and clear. As a Catholic I thank you for presenting these issues so I can understand them.  There is no anger here, or disrespect as I can tell.

I’m a Mormon and I have been told my whole life to stay away from this information. I was told it was evil and created by wicked men. I found this video to be the exact opposite, informative, factual and respectful. Thank you. I need to think things over.

D&C 42:22 "Thou shalt love thy wife with all thy heart, and shalt cleave unto her and none else."
LDS website 2017: "Joseph Smith married multiple wives."
(Plural Marriage in Kirtland and Nauvoo)

The fact that a hat-gazing con-man is the founder of such a powerful religious movement is mind-blowing.   This is why it is important to promote critical-thinking in our schools.

my family has been invlolved with the church since 1830s,yet when  i wanted to join family said I was not what the church was looking for. At age 60 I was baptized but found a very low glass ceiling that has keep me from progressing in the faith or going to the temple. Now I realize I made a mistake, but living near slc, walking away is almost impossible.

You are among the best narrators I've ever heard on YouTube.  Bravo!

Joseph smith was the 19th century L. Ron Hubbard

Hey, ya'all, don't forget about all the Mormon episodes on South Park !
