Here's a tip from my tv/film days......working with actors  the camera team would have small rubber T marks made with colored tape pasted on for the actors to know who's mark was who. I use them now to mark where I stand  for my D/N shots and If on cement I also mark a small x with some white chalk to make sure if my T mark gets moved I know exactly where I stood during the day.  a little air can will blow it off .  Last tip...For Ext. night work if it's possible take a garden hose and WET down the walkway or driveway and patio area,  with permission from agent or owner of course. The wet surface will reflect the available light from the house and landscape lights making it a more cinematic look.  Cheers mates!
