Dude PS Vita is a timeless console. It is a must for gamers and hobbyists.

I got one at launch so that I could play Metal Gear Solid 2 on the go. I gave it away after 10 years when I got my Steam Deck and it didn't take long to realized I made a horrible mistake as this is still the ultimate handheld MGS machine due to the form factor.

That was a rather interesting video. I use my PS Vita depending on my mood. I may spend months without touching it, but one random Day, grab it and don't put it down for an entirely month or so. As always, great content and well executed (may be too bright setup today?) I did not thought you were a HIM fan (as I am too), but that álbum collection on the background makes an statement: "here we have good taste in music"!

I preordered mine when it first came out, for Gravity Rush and Persona 4 Golden. But Uncharted was the first game. Since then I'd hacked it, and use it as a retro handheld. It plays pretty much all the old consoles. It being able to play Vita, PSP, and PS1 natively makes it a huge selling point over other retro handhelds back then. But now, with much more powerful hardware able to run these at 3x or 4x resolution, Vita is finally sunsetting.

I’m around the same age as you. I went through the exact same thing and skipped out on the Vita and recently bought one and modded it. Now I take it out with me all the time even though I seldom have time to actually play it outside lol.

Got a vita 2000 for 100 bucks this January. I modded the hell out of it and I'm having a blast one of the best investments I've made for entertainment 😅

My psvita has been one of my main gaming consoles in the past year. I’ve been playing Shantae Half Genie Hero, the Sly Cooper series, and A bunch of emulated gameboy games like Pokemon.

I have my launch Vita and still playing it to this day.
Phenomenal console.
Been building up my game collection as the games (I prefer physical) are becoming rare and expensive.

I find that for consoles that have unique display or control schemes like the DS/3DS and the Vita, it is much more fun to have play games for them on the original hardware. Emulation on a device that doesn’t have those unique controls/screens just isn’t the same.

Just bought one myself whilst in japan. More Vita content please!

I definitely think it’s worth it! I plan on adding one to my collection one of these days! It’s truly a timeless classic, which shows in how premium the materials are. It was way ahead of its time. I hope with all of the current buzz around handhelds, Sony gets back into it!

I love my Vita. Got it a few years ago in order to use it as an emulation powerhouse. There's a crazymac build you can download which has retroarch all set up. It's worth it. I actually just uninstalled all that and now use my Vita to play Tearway and do the emulation on various Anbernics.

Great video! I got a PS Vita at launch, used it for a few years, especially the PS4 remote play feature….then it got packed away for years….but now with the ease of the custom firmware modding, I’ve given it a new life and I’m really enjoying playing on it!

Way ahead of its time ,, noticing more and more are buying them ,, they were great though. Football Manager handheld reminded me so much of LMA Manager 2003 ,, id blast through seasons on both they were so much fun. The handheld you could buy the never sacked and just mess around trying out different formations etc .

Not much people these days talk about the ps Vita, subcribed for the content and that cheeky Yorkshire accent of yours

I haven’t played this yet, but I have heard many people recommend Gravity Rush. I don’t know anything about it, other than it’s a great game.

Got mine on the way from Vinted as well dude, paid same as you 100 with added protection fees and delivery. Looks near mint condition! V excited to recieve it next week. I played a TONNE of PSP back in the day so looking forward to reliving some of the classics. Also looking foreward to tinkering with it as I love modding etc. And I know I have the option to sell it on for same if not more money if I get bored or don't use it (which I often do with things). I just hope it holds out for me as something I use as I miss my steam deck/rog ally but they were too big and bulky!
