Where the Sony video ?? Don’t see it on the channel 🙈

The X360 Winchester mobo can now be hacked with Bad Update and Bad Avatar.

It's crazy how hackers made Microsoft smarter.

I'm surprised the Bad Update and Bad Avatar exploits weren't mentioned, they are very recent. The exploit is an extreme achievement for the community. It works like a soft mod on ANY version/iteration of a stock 360. You can run Aurora and even FTP games/files to the hard drive on a completely stock console, and the exploit just runs from a flash drive. As long as you keep the flash drive plugged into the console, every time you power on the console it'll launch into the exploit automatically, opening the custom Aurora dashboard. It is the closest to a soft mod the 360 has ever seen. The creator of that exploit was going to retire from working on the exploits after that release but recently announced that for their last project work on a definitive actual soft mod for the console. As of right now RGH consoles are still preferred because the hypervisor exploit doesn't let you make any deeper editing to the console, it could actually be fairly easy to brick your xbox replacing a file you shouldn't have, but would be fine to do on a RGH.

I was also kind of surprised that the Bad Update/Bad Avatar exploit wasn’t mentioned as well. It seems to still be in its infancy but it seems like it should be mention worthy. Anyway, thanks for the video it was very informative.

Xbox 360 now has a USB key soft hack!  Modern Vintage Gamer has done two videos on it. Though it is essentially an offline console now, it still provides a lot of functionality!

1:40 genius guy

crazy how bright some people are..

God this brings back so many memories. Anyone know what ever happened to C4eva? I owe that guy a few beers. Between flashing DVD drives, selling Jtags, and selling key vaults, I had a blast when I was  a kid. Man.

Every 360 I've had (4) stopped reading game discs. This was before internet was as widespread  in my rural area so I never knew you only had to adjust the laser

great video dude, that high elvish comment got a good laguh out of me lol

Great video, brought up some fond memories 👍🏻

"Everything that gets on the internet stays forever" Never heard anything so wrong. What was on the internet just 10-15 years ago, isn't even searchable anymore.

You forgot to mention that XB1 was hacked through collateral damage exploit. It was released at 15.07.2024.

I spotted clios fron The Screen Savers on TechTV. Oh how i miss that show, Call for Help and a few others

Crazy how most of them switched to putting protections in the main processor and clipping one pin disabled it where boot loaders could be ran. Think this is why they are just using actual cpu's now.

7:50 The original XBox being unable to play DVDs without a special remote was Microsoft's way of not paying licensing feeing. Instead the fees were rolled into the cost of the remote. These seems really nasty but it didn't really hurt XBox sales since the console was advertised as being able to play DVDs and people would buy a remote control anyway. I purchased the PS2 remote simply because... it's silly not to have a remote control for your DVD player. Nintendo were true assholes by not including DVD or Blu Ray functions on the Wii U and some people were mad as hell about this when they got it home!

Underrated video, hope it smacks more people's algorithm

the battle from modders will never stop

gotta talk about xbox one hacks one day, there werent a lot but there HAVE been some smaller software exploits found multiple times albeit patched, but there is a physical exploit for the first boards youll be seeing soon

awesome vid! what a documentary... good stuff
