Nobody's ever done it better...."The world's greatest unknown guitar player".

Such a shame that he's not revered by millions.  Absolutely astounding musician.

We can analyze and critique Danny Gatton all day but one indisputable
fact remains; the man was criminally overlooked by the mainstream
music business. Whether or not that was a situation of his own making is
irrelevant, the man could play his ass off and if it looked like he was showing
off it's because he probably was.  At least the audience was in on the joke.
Stop hatin' and start congratulatin'!  Like Roy Buchanan we are all poorer
for his loss.

I dont know how you can dis Danny Gatton . He was  acknowledged as one of THE great guitarists by his peers such as Les Paul,Clapton,Albert Lee and many other giants of the instrument . There is no point to an arguement that compares one instrumentalist to another -they ALL bring something to the party and appreciate each others contributions. Learn from this !!!

Love how happy danny was here. RIP.

greatest rockabilly player who ever lived

I saw him twice in a small DC club.  You would not believe how amazing the guy was.  Perfect playing, lightning fast.

Still the greatest musicians ever...Noone could hold a candle to him then or now. Rest in Peace, Mr. Gatton.

One of the first Danny Gatton tunes I heard off of Crusin Deuces what an album !!!

my god this is amazing  and beyond  . one of the best.RIP danny gatton

"The Humbler" is an appropriate nickname.  What a great guitarist.

Absolutely great😊❤

That smile! He loves a Bass solo too! An Amazing Guy! Such a Loss......

I loved Danny. I am from Northern Virginia, so I got to see him a few times. He is missed.

thats one wicked solo...the bass solo was bad ass too... danny had the sickest licks in guitar playing period

pickyricky1, I agree. 'Best' is best left to other subjects of discussions. :-)  There are too many artists that contribute so much, each in their own way. I'd go insane if I could only settle for one... Joe Pass, Charlie Byrd, Barney Kessel, We are so fortunate to have their music in our lives

DANNY GATTON WAS NO JOKE!!!!

100 miles away from each other..
Roy Buchanan hail d from Virginia...Gatton from Washington D.C.

RIP Mr. G

OMG, I never seen this performance... i have missed so much all these years.
