This movie is such a joke that they should have ended it with James opening a door to find a dog in a control room.

That gravestone is the biggest insult to a fanebase i have ever seen

That ain't Silent Hill that's Screaming Mound

A fun fact: an intact Lakeview Hotel is actually the Otherworld because the real hotel burned down 3 years prior to the events of the game. So it doesn't transform into the Nightmare version, but the opposite happens and after watching the videotape in Room 312 James can no longer deny the reality and it is why he finally sees the hotel for what it is.

Little did he know...
His real name was

James
Eddie
Pyramyd
Gans
Head

In Silent Hill 2 when James finds Angela laying down with a knife, he assumes she's about to end her life and says "You know, there's always another way." Things like that humanize and make you like James. The character in this movie is not James.

Angela's retcon is genuinely the biggest middle finger to the source material. Her being dumbed down into becoming a manifestation for James' trauma completely invalidates her as an actual character and the trauma she went through. She was one of the best depictions of an SA survivor in media, and they took that from us just to streamline the script and make it more digestible to a wider audience.

Ah yes, almost forgot, James's full name is

James
Angela
Mary/Maria
Eddie
Snotty Brat

“This town is full of pizza, how can you sit there and eat monsters!”

cristophes ego shines through in all of his work, taking source material to "adapt to his journey", like why tf would they bring him back instead of hiring someone with actual talent and intent to do the source material justice. pisses me off that they let him fuck up another silent hill movie.

James driving a mustang and not an everyday 90s car, Mary's letter being so poorly written like a teenager letting you know he went out, James being a edgy cool dude, Angela and Eddie being randoms, Laura seeing the monsters (her innocence makes her inmune to the horror in game), the ENTIRE Mary backstory that is mostly filler that leads to nothing and the lack of pyramid heads meaning butchered this movie about  a game about what a marriage in sickness had to go through. It was such a simple story and they did it all wrong.

God the actors look like hostage victims in those interviews....

Why is it so hard for directors to understand how to adapt source material into movies

Return to Silent Hill? Nah that’s let’s go back to Sleepy Town

I don’t think I’ve ever been as angry as I was with this movie. When “Mary Angela Laura” popped up on that tombstone I screamed at my TV.

You know, for a town that morphs into a hellish landscape meant to punish and or show a person their deepest regrets and traumas, Silent Hill has some great cell phone reception.

Did you know Super Mario's actual name is Mario Luigi Wario Waluigi Toad Yoshi? Yeah, all these characters don't actually exist, it's all just different manifestations of Mario's personality!

I’m so dang tired of the cult in these movies. The second Silent Hill was specifically a departure from the cult and a special middle ground in between 1 and 3. The true horror shouldn’t be about the cult, it should be the realization of James as he comes to terms with what he did and why he did it. I get that a game can be hard to adapt into movie form but if it’s that hard already, why are you adding more random plot lines that don’t matter and didn’t matter to the original game. I think Christophe needs to replay the game because he clearly only saw the few iconic cutscenes and thought “oh yeah, the fans will love this but I can’t make it too complicated like the original game so I’m going to spell it out to the viewer while putting in the cult stuff from the first movie, perfect!”

The hanging scene of the game represents the fans after watching this movie perfectly
