People like Charlie should’ve been watched at all times. Killing his own parents and attempting to kill his younger siblings should’ve kept him locked up forever.
This is my first time hearing a story about the military stepping in to get around double jeopardy. That guy was a real sicko and deserves to be where he is at. Good job EWU.
How can a 13 year old murdering his pregnant mother in cold blood and attempting to murder the rest of his family be taken so lightly?? And then living back with his family as if nothing happened? That's crazy!
This dude's voice is so relaxing. Especially as it slides down from higher to lower, from beginning of a sentence, to the end. I can't even finish the clip. I'm falling asleep.
i remember hearing about charlie’s story a while back and it was interesting to know that his wife suspected something and started keeping track of his comings and goings in her daily planner/journal. it’s how police connect him to the other 20-something murders
Charlie's case highlights what I personally find the most frustrating about laws concerning children. I do think it is correct that children cannot be thrown in jail for a life time but often it feels like whatever they did is of absolute no concern and they'll just be released without concern again. Idk if in this case long term therapy and some form of check up by law enforcement or some sort of organisation could have done anything but it sure would show that committing murder while under 14 isn't a free for all.
