(And then spend it on bike parts)

This channel isn't to be contained in one genre, it's just a vibe. very refreshing.

putting expensive stuff on cheap stuff is the best video genre

-What superpower you have?
-Brother with a workshop

I just realized I haven’t watched a single episode of Donut since you started this channel 😂

You like cars? Speeed. You like fashion? Speeed. You like life advice? Speeed. You like movies? Speeed. You like bikes? Speeed.

This channel is so weird cause the content is so random that I actually dont feel obligated to watch every single video but rather enjoy the ones that piqued my curiosity instead and I love it.

This is everything you NEEED, to get up to SPEEED when riding your bicycle.

(Edited with 3 E's)

Traditionally on steel road bikes, THE FRAME IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART.  Having a double-butted Reynolds, Columbus, or Tange springy frame is something that no amount of parts will ever fix!  So people would buy a great frame and move their crap parts over from their existing bike to the great frame.  The parts can be upgraded 1 at a time, later.

the new hi low

As a car guy and a cyclisit, I'm so glad to see James doing this, hoping it influence more of us to get out and ride. Guys (car guys) if you are between project cars, build a bike it will "scratch" that itch!

shout out berm peak

As someone who only ever owned the cheapest bikes, the Altus was a huge step up. I know it's low end, but it's still a way better derailleur than what comes on a ton of cheap bikes

Reasons I enjoy James’ content:

High-quality editing
Introduces me to topics I’d never think about
Keeps it clean, no vulgar language
And, of course… he’s speeeed

Welding on a different head tube seems like a mod similar to changing a car from automatic to manual.  You have to REALLY want that donor frame/car to go to those lengths.

You should have Chris Castro fabricate and weld an entire frame! That guy looks like a pro!

So I'm not a car guy, I've been a car guy, I've never even owned a car and never even had a driver's license. Like never.  And I'm 37.  But I watched basically almost all the videos James was in on Donut. This new channel is fudging amazing. The different topics in the videos, and you're teaching different things to people and opening them up to new things. I can't put into words how important this channel has become to me and how perfect this channel is.  Thanks for everything my dudes.  I love you.....lol

15:26 I don’t know how good Chris’s welding skills are but the look in his eyes makes me confident in his ability.

So basically the philosophy behind being an econo car enthusiast is tested here. Yes you can buy a more expensive better engineered car, but it's really fun and rewarding to spend time doing it to a car that was never meant to be this performant.

This has consistently been my favorite new channel on YouTube. Can't wait for the inevitable soap box derby build video.
