Thanks for the look around the park.Easy to watch from the couch.I didn't get cold fingers or toes.Been to most of those huts some 20 years back. The huts are different colors and new verandas but the countryside still looks the same.( maybe whiter).
That's for sharing.

Glen mate, well done cranking that out with buggered ribs, ( good drugs are amazing!!) i hope your on the mend!, and thank u i took your advice and replaced my wet weather gear with the atlas gear, ive yet to use it but it looks to be along the lines i need!, bad luck happens in three's (tilting nissan, dodgy rifle, smacked up ribs!) so u should be good for years now!, keep safe out there mate, cheers greg

Ah the joys of age, we don’t bounce well when we tip over now days, and become a little more brittle as the years tick by.

Cool video, bummer you didn’t find the stag 😌

The old Remington 700 had the stock bolt screwed in directly under the action. If you over tightened it the action would not close completely, it looked exactly the same place as your bolt was closing to. I had to trim the stock bolt by two threads to solve the problem. Just a thought , as I am not sure what rifle you have. Looked like a great trip, have had those weather conditions in late summer up there. Nice to look over  my old hunting ground. Surprised there was not a stack of dry firewood at each hut, we always lift them well stocked in our day. I guess things have changed. Thanks for the memories.

Sharing every aspect of the hunt with members of your own family is pretty special. Great tips best kind of hunting trip, altitude snow deer! BRB have a great spring and give it heaps.

Awesome watch, thoroughly enjoyed appreciating was a challenging mission. Top job.

Great vid. I have spent a lot of time in the Boyd and Tussock. I first flew in to the Boyd fixed wing when I was 17 (April 1983). I was born in1966 as well. There were still wild Merino sheep in there then from the pastoral lease days. The Tussock back then was a proper NZFS hut and still had cullers operating out of it so had the cullers cupboard in the corner next to the door. It was cold as hell back then as well. Water was brought up from the creek in a bucket which we sat next to the open fire. The water in the bucket froze during the night. I met Brian at the Boyd on one trip and he flew me in from Bridge Pa for a solo inflatable kayak trip from the Boyd down to Kuripapango. That was a few hair cuts ago now, it's good to see he is still flying. I am hoping to walk into the Boyd for a two week trip late September. Just a quiet 30km walk from Poronui, hopefully the carcass will hold up.

Great episode mate. From where I am, I can see blue sky, sun, swaying palms, dusky maidens, white coral sand beach, blue lagoon. And can feel the warm trade winds blowing, and now the local trading schooner has paid its monthly visit. Yeah ok, I was a bit careless with the truth. From inland on the Southern Island, we do have blue skies and scorching temperatures of 12°C. No snow either. Thanks for sharing mate. Loving your channel. All the best.
