Imagine Heaven Podcast with John Burke

Jim Woodford was agnostic yet had a surprising, detailed near death experience and saw the book of his life. He was a successful Canadian businessman and airline pilot. He had built a comfortable life, never prayed, and saw no reason to believe in God.

Then an opioid overdose changed everything.

In this unforgettable conversation with John Burke, Jim shares the near-death experience that shattered everything he thought he knew. He describes catching a glimpse of hell, being overwhelmed by the breathtaking beauty of Heaven, flying over the magnificent City of God, and encountering the book that contained every detail of his life.

Most of all, he describes meeting God Himself.

Whether you're curious about near-death experiences, the afterlife, Heaven, Hell, or the evidence people report after clinical death, Jim's story raises profound questions about life, eternity, and the God he never expected to meet.

Watch until the end as John Burke explores how Jim's experience compares with thousands of documented near-death experiences from around the world and the book that's being written right now about your life!

I've sent this to my son. He's a pilot and an unbeliever. I would appreciate your prayers for him. Kaleb.

Jim's story is so amazing!
I experienced an NDE in 1995. I was in a coma and on life support. Without details, I saw darkness then lightness but I was terrified and wanted to come back. The doctor had told my sister that I wasn't going to make it and wanted to disconnect the life support with her consent. She refused to sign the consent form after my dad who was miles away in another country advised her not to and to start praying. My aunt fasted and my entire family prayed to God for His mercy and healing and He answered their prayers🙏

I was thinking about what Jim said when he was pleading not to come back here and Jesus told him it wasn't his time yet.
Our 35 year old son passed on to Heaven last year. I often think why didn't God bring him back but after listening to what Jesus said it was obviously his time to be in Heaven.
I so appreciate these glimpses into our Heavenly home and cannot wait to be reunited with our son who I miss so very much. 😢

I tell anyone mourning the loss of a loved one to spend time watching these testimonials, it’s my wish for them that it brings them peace. I refer back to these myself just as a reminder that all the busy work we do means nothing, just as all the time spent worrying goes to waste. I am reminded that moments of prayer matters more than the time spent studying or working to achieve things. Pray. Pray for the world. Pray for strangers. Act with kindness. This makes Christ happy. He’s not asking for much. Pray and be kind.

I am crying listening to Jim’s testimony, but grateful to him for being so descriptive & humble. I have learned a lot from him and the importance of service to others vs. service to self. I pray for the world to change and ban together for greater good of all, as well as Peace on
Earth ….especially for the children. 🙏✝️❤️. Thank you Jesus for loving mankind even though we don’t deserve it.

Jim's testimony really opened my eyes and my soul to how great the love of God is, when he said that one of the buildings he saw was "the Nursery". My heart feels so much compassion for those little ones who were either aborted or miscarried, and for the mothers of those precious little ones. It's very possible that they could meet with each other. Nothing is impossible with God.

Really a great testimony. Thank you so much for this. My 19 year old son Christopher was killed in action in Afghanistan as a Marine. Hearing these testimony helps me to have hope that Christopher really is in a better place. Thank you,God bless you, and I hope that all that is said is true for all of us after we die. So powerful.

I want to comment that I'm glad this man who was a pilot who was not a street person but a person who was intelligent and stable emotionally and successful in his life could tell us about his experience. He is so real. He exudes sincerity. And he is doing it in a way that intellectual people can understand. Thank you for that. I have a very personal reason for this comment, and I ask that anyone who would - would please pray for this very important person in my life who is the smartest person I have ever met. I'm praying for his salvation. Thank you and God bless.

Jim's detailed account of his NDE and the wonders he saw shows God's incredible grace and mercy. To God Alone be the Glory.

Psychiatrist Ian Stevenson has shared the deathbed vision of an elderly female patient from the United States. When doctors told her that she didn't have long to live, her grandchildren gathered around her bed. Suddenly she seemed much more alert, and the expression on her face changed to one of great pleasure and excitement. She raised herself slightly and said, “Oh, Will, are you there?” and fell back dead. No one named Will was present, and the only Will in her family was a great-uncle who lived in England. Not long after, her family received word from England that her brother Will had died two days prior to their grandmothers death.

In the Orthodox Church, we bow to each other too! It is because we are bowing to Christ in the other person. That is so awesome that Jim got to experience that and testify about it.❤️

I've heard Jim twice now and i sob hearing the genuineness in his story. Very believable.. I've always said i just can't want to go home.
I am the prodigal child in the Bible. Saved only by HIS love and grace and mercy. I live my life to help others. That's my heart.

I believe this man's testimony! I believe that God chose this man to be a good witness. These NDE testimonies are a gift from God, he is pouring his spirit upon us now. The things he says are similar to my husband's NDE experience. They are life changing and so beautiful. I really appreciate the work done by John Burke ❤ they all describe the light and the music, the love....and interestingly they describe the garments they wear.

Thank you John for this beautiful testimony ❤ God bless.
