Why I Couldn’t Stop Crying Over Ado’s Story | The Voice of a Generation | Full Reaction

Ado’s voice first pulled me into her music. Now her story has changed the way I understand the artist behind it.
In each of my Ado reactions, I explore three songs through their studio and live versions, adding a piano version whenever one exists. This time, the music led me beyond the performances and into Ado’s journey.
For my first-ever documentary reaction, I watched Ado: The Voice of a Generation by Dandy Starsurfer. Her story reached me so deeply that I cried for several minutes, making this one of the most personal reactions I’ve recorded.
What part of Ado’s journey touched you the most?

Update after watching: I indeed did cry with you. Ado has not only depth from her voice, not only from the way she sings. She is somebody who adds depth from her being a genuine good person, encouraging us, her fans to become sparks like herself. She adds depth by live streaming before her songs and saying how nervous she is. It takes a special brand of courage to show us how vulnerable she is, as vulnerable as we are feeling. And by showing the world and me, she makes me believe that exposing my fears and hopes is less scary than I thought. She makes me believe I can do it too. I can do the thing, even with insecurities. Don't stay in my shell. Break out and move forward. That is Ado for me. A support I needed in my life. Somebody who leads by example, gently pushing my shrivelled back and saying: go for it .
"Yoroshiku" is a commonly used phrase in Japan, but ADO used 4-letter kanji characters (often used by teenage gangstars) "夜露死苦" which includes "死" (death). This is probably the reason why Google misunderstood her X post.
1) 31:00 I think that altough Ado has a lot of fans, all around the world,… she haven't met many, who could say: "I understand Your struggles. I know what You went or You are going through."- it's a fear of not being understood, that sometimes even I have. Perhaps I said too much. But I don't care about that anymore. 😂
2) 32:40 I think so as well. Every artist needs at least a bit of self-confidence, but it can be trouble some if self-confidence would turn into the pride. 🤔 I think the best artists like Ado herself are just brutally honest with themselves- like me. 🤣
3) 40:50 And I was the one who recommended that. 👍🏻😉
4) 42:00 Those Ado's words destroyed me too. 😭 I've seen myself in them.
Great reaction!
Now I feel like You should react to "Elf" by Ado. 👍🏻
Bro thanks for your amazing content you are a LEGEND

“I don't want a life like this! But if this unwanted life can save someone, then I want to keep singing.”
