Moka was on hiatus for health reasons when they filmed the MV (April to May). You can still hear her voice in the song itself, but she's not in the MV and likely won't be in the performance tomorrow either. She already came back for some performances but is still not 100% healthy it seems and whether she'll participate in their asian tour next week is still unknown.

And no, it's not usual to have groups collab like this in kpop. Sometimes you get a couple members from different companies to form a temporary group and release a couple songs, but entire groups collabing is less common, and when it happens it's usually a more chill song for an ad or something.
Something like this made just to be music and with dance performance and so on is rarer.

All these groups r all under the same company, its basically a diss to all their haters cuz all of them have been receiving a lot of hate mostly since debut, theyre basically trauma bonding but yea also the song goes in order of debut so le sserafim-2022 illit-early 2024 and then katseye-late 2024

Just some context: All these girl groups under HYBE have gotten mad hate since their debuts. It's very significant Le Sserafim starts first because they're the most senior group out of the 3, and they've also guided the other girls when they also went through their own hate trains.

Some lyric references to their experiences:
- "Engrave it on my tombstone" - Chaewon received funeral wreaths that were lined up in front of the company bldg on her birthday because of some protest thing about another grp but still...funeral wreaths on your bday.
- "“I keep on cheesing” — endless bullying towards ILLIT's teeth
- "Dance a little crazy” — Daniela being mocked for “over-dancing” with that specific move she did in Gnarly, and also Katseye getting hate for their choreo in general

These groups have obviously gone through worse hate trains than that (...like seriously awful) so this is just the tip of the iceberg. But yeah, that's why this song is so iconic and quite personal in a way.

Thanks for the reaction. Illit is pronounced I’ll it. Moka is the one who wasn’t in the mv because she had been dealing with health issues so she was on hiatus. Also no they don’t have a leader. And Katseye does have 6 members but one of the members is on hiatus. Sophia is Filipino, Lara is Indian American, Daniella is ethnically Latina, she was born in the U.S, Megan is from Hawaii but she’s half white and half Chinese

15:36 technically Le Sserafim is also down a member because they used to be six members as well, but she got kicked out just a week after debuting

if you listen closely, before megan gets hit by the ‘god’ sign, she says “f*ck you” instead of what is captioned, “thank you“

I totally consider watching/listening to katseye. I think they raised their own bar into kpop/pop genres. They are great performers with cool concepts. Gnarly is infamous but stellar choreography that require a lot of synchronicity

There are a decent amount of collabs between subsets of groups (usually ones under the same company) but not like this- entire groups collabing with another group, make that 3 entire groups. Not sure it’s ever been done with 3 groups. Though there are groups with as many (if not more) members than all 3 of these put together, but those groups work together all the time obviously so they’d be used to being in sync with each other like a NFL cheerleading team that pulls off crazy choreography with dozens of people (which reminds me of how Katseye did a performance at the 2024 MAMA awards with the entire LA Rams cheerleading team which was spectacular too btw). It’s crazy that these 3 groups were able to come together and pull this off so smoothly and for a live performance too! (you should also react to the live performance)
