diagnosis of bad water pump. there are several good videos of water pump changes by carcarnut and others, but don't show the symptoms or sounds beforehand.

this video shows sounds and diagnosis before, as well as full major steps to change water pump and bleed system. this takes a little more than just letting it burp on its own.

1. connect hose (heater fan off inside)
2. open bleader
3. let run at 1500 to 2000rpm for 5 to 10 minutes,   until a steady stream with no air running through hose.
4. close bleader
5. let idle
6. shut off and remove funnel

2013 is 3rd generation Lexus, but similar process for 2GR-FE engines
