Superhero Pawn Stars

Solid jj

In this original idea, Superheroes from all corners of the world come to Rick's Pawn Shop from the show Pawn Stars (no relation) to sell their items and make some cash. With Batman, Green Lantern and Thor at the shop, there's no telling what hijinks will ensue. But it will be kept within 2-3 minutes because I got other things to do bro!

The penny plunderer thing got retconmed so many times just because everyone forgets he exists and just makes a new story for the penny

I love that Batman's bit is completely absent of shenanigans or antagonism, the thing he's trying to sell is entirely mundane but just really weird.

Thor saying "Rick, son of... His father" like the man's last name being Harrison isn't set up perfectly for it.

3:49 The cutoff “AND THEN I TOOK THIS HOME-“

I deadass thought the joke was Thor was gonna recall the hammer like a coin in a vending machine.

I like that Rick has zero knowledge of the Thor mythos or Norse mythology whatsoever yet is intimately familiar with Green Lantern's power set and his limitations. Getting scammed by Guy will do that to you.

The funniest thing is that on the original comic the penny plunderer got sent to DEATH ROW all while joker gets sent to the arkham asylum for the trillionth time

Honestly, the concept of a pawn shop owner that's specifically buys from superheroes is a great concept for a comic or at least a series of actual TV shorts.

1:54 Yeah that part is unrealistic. Rick would be explaining Mjolnir’s entire history to Thor like he isn’t the dude that owns it.😂

Can't wait for the American Pickers episode where the guys pick through all the weird war memorabilia Wolverine has stuffed in his garage.

Batman: "It made a lot more sense in the 40's"

Rick: "Yeah, I bet it made a lot of cents..."

If I were Rick, I would pay $0.01 for the penny

Green Lantern trying to get [cash] for free by making something with his ring is genuinely a hilarious concept.

Edit: Guys I feel like it would be a lot more work constructing many tiny things than one big thing (but I don't know GL lore). Also money comes in a specific shade of green which I have to imagine the Rings have no control over, so that probably wouldn't work either.

Bro forgot to do the “and I’m taking a big risk here”

One of the best giant penny retcon stories had it so Two-Face had Batman and Robin tied to either side of the giant Penny. He was going to, and I quote, "flip a coin, flatten a foe..." it still cracks me up.

I love how Batman just canonically steals a giant penny off of a dead guy

Dude said penny plunderer and instantly looked this up because I was not convinced that that was a real villain of Batman only to be hit the realization that I should stop doubting what is and isn’t in comics
