We had a great time filming this video with Brandon! The boat is produced by kitboats.com, a collaboration between Small Craft Advisor Magazine and Turn Point Design.

For more information on the boat, check out their website, and/or write to support@kitboats.com. Let them know you learned about the boat from Off Center Harbor!

That closable slot in the cabin roof was clearly designed by someone sick of stepping masts the hard way.

I really like the idea behind this boat. There’s something wonderful about a design that says you’re never too old to get back on the water. The Old Salt 15 looks like a very inviting little boat – simple, practical and with plenty of room for new adventures.
Fair winds from Kiel, Germany!

I have a muscle disease. I have sailed my whole life. I'm 66 now and I hoped to still have some fun sailing. Unfortunately it is too late. I can't get up or out of the boat anymore. Still, I really like the concept of this little boat and I'd love to be able to try it!

Gorgeous boat, looks like a great day on the water.

I'm way too young for this but it looks really great. I love the modern twist on the classic styling, with the rounded cabin and cockpit looking very classic, and square top instead of a gaff and carbon mast. The long slot to make getting the mast up easy is brilliant, with the hatch to lock it in place

My flying days are nearly over in San Diego and I think moving to Port Townsend and boat building would be the right thing to do.  I remember going "bar hopping" with a friend here is SD... one sandbar to another.

Very, very cool boat. If I had it in me to build another boat this would be it!🙂

Beautifuly done and Produced video Brandon!

My last boat was an Ulfa Fox Albacore.....  a very lively sail but I had to give it up, got old and slow.. Now this looks right up my ally

Looks   good   greetings  from  Scotland

great design

Good job!!

Fabulous little boat. Gorgeous

Excellent !💪👌👏

Nice looking boat

Really nice boat. Never built one, but this might be the one.  Thanks for the vid.

Looks ideal for its designed use, liked the aesthetic too.

I would love to have one of those. However I am too old to build another boat. At one time I had a Cyclone, my only sailboat. It was a miserable boat for an oldster. It would absolutely not point up. As it was kind of prone to capsizing and being hard to get in after going over it wouldn't point up to give me time to get in before it would go turtle again. This looks like a great boat for an older person. Easy to handle on shore, rigging and then sailing. The only boats I have built were kneel down outboard race boats, this one looks like fun. I would need to finish a classic motorcycle first and I think that is about the extent of my abilities now due to my advanced age. I have been kind of looking for a used one but have only found sketchy dinghies or large boats.

I have a good feeling for that boat.
