If you listen to all of these in order, it’s like a story. Everything Patrice brings up in the beginning comes back around in the end, and the foreshadowing of his retirement and dying.. Im glad these exist, Patrice was the fucking king.
I miss Patrice. I started to listen to O&A because of these Patrice shows. I started listening after he died, but I had over 100 shows to listen to ... now at show 130, the reality that he is gone is hitting. Patrice was brilliant.
My wife just came home and asked me what was wrong. I said I just listened to Patrice sing a song that was so pertinent to his life and death it made me real sad. I definitely go teary eyed listening to this. Actually reading the comments from you guys as well. It's comforting to know I'm not the only one who loved and respected him. RIP
Reading these comments, I'm so glad there are so many Patrice fans out there. Listening to him helped me get through many phases of self loathing. Although he was never as famous as he shoulda been, his legacy will live on forever in the hearts of us fans
So happy I’m not the only person obsessed and in awe of Patrice O’Neal. My absolute greatest sadness is that I’ll never be able to hear Patrice on a podcast with Joey Diaz.
Warren Haynes called into the tribute show to share his memories of meeting and playing with Patrice. After just spending an hour or so hanging out with him, it seemed like Warren really felt the loss. A classy guy and all around mensch. I always respected Warren, but after hearing him take time to talk about and genuinely mourn Patrice, I'm starting to love the guy.
Yeooo Patrice is really a detective! Saying that lebrons mom fucked with delonte west because he resembled bizzy bone from bone thugs n harmony is spot on. Hahaha god damn
