If you own a motorsport team, you want Jason Plato working for you. The man is a marketing dream. If you want your team to be top of everyone's mind, Jason is your man. If you want to win races, Jason is your man. If you hate Jason Plato, that just proves how good he is with Jedi mind games.

I don't agree with a lot of what he did and said, but have to admit he is very, very talented and should have won far more championships.

Jason is a proper bloke, as you’ll know if you read his autobiography. What happened to him this year; his team snatched from him as it was in the cusp on success, was nothing short of unforgivable.

If you ever read this Jason, know that your fans will never forget you - you’ve carved an un-ignorable mark in motorsport history. Head up Jason - you’ve done everything right. The others are wrong. Stay positive, mate. We love you. Just keep being Jason Plato. 😉

There’s only one Jason Plato. JP was the reason I really fell in love with the BTCC and his on-track rivalries over the years will remain unforgettable. I can only hope he returns again to the paddock in the future as the BTCC feels incomplete without him in it 💜

I remember when Jason Plato was driving the second Holden Racing Team VY Commodore (numbered 05) at the Bathurst 1000 in 2004 as part of the late Peter Brock's farewell tour (he was sharing the car with Brock), and ended up getting crashed into by John Cleland in the white Brad Jones Racing Falcon BA he was sharing with Andrew Jones (the 2004 Konica DVS champion) at the Chase, therefore denying Brock his final drive in a Commodore.

If i ever win the lottery, im calling Matt Neal and Jason Plato and funding a coalition to destroy Cataclean racing.

He was one of those drivers until near the end he was a consistent race winner and championship contender most seasons

I've never liked JP (I wasn't a Mat Neal fan either), but fair's fair, you've got to respect his effort and talent, and getting spat out of the series he was such a big part of was nothing short of callous.

Plato a very nice bloke and a proper racing legend...ppl m9zn about him pushing cars but it mzkes the racing so much more exciting. Jason through fifth gear put a lot of ppl on to btcc, one of those fans being myself. Nowadays attend at least a couple races a year I travel from Malta to attend

Jason joined BTCC in an era where pushing and shoving and rivalry was part of the program, and he was really good at technical fouls, they were all at it, that is why the fan base is split.......I've worked on the fringes with Muller and he is an absolute bell end of a person.  Ash squeezed the last bit of life out of Jason - that's normal tho, Jason wasn't a young man at this point.

Have always been a Plato fan and also enjoyed watching him on Fith Gear. A very telented driver but you can deny he's been involved in few very dodgy on track incidents.
