Your post is very realistic and appreciated.
What happens in Thailand and Laos has a lot of common factors in Asia as ownership of lands is restricted to the same type of rules. Retirees wanting to own property, even renting, have problems, and so do the industrious Chinese attracting suspicions and dislikes. On top of that: if money exchange values are altered an exodus out of many 'invaded' countries will happen.
