Love the idea! I've found when making long sliding dovetails it helps to wet the joints, let them dry, then take another pass with the router fence in the same position. This raises the grain then smooths it back out before adding any moisture/glue, so when you do glue it, it shouldn't swell as much. This is especially helpful on softer woods that will tend to swell more as you've found out.

just started making wooden climbing holds a couple weeks ago and your videos were my main source of education. good to see a new video from you!

So glad you came up with a new video! I started really getting into shaping wooden holds in the last couple of months and your channel is an absolute joy to watch, I learnt many things thanks to the vids. Hope to see more, this hangboard concept is really cool both in terms of the idea of using trad joinery, and the aesthetics!

Cool idea to use dovetails for a hangboard. Pretty looks and functional!

nice work!

I found for long sliding dovetails like this, adding a small taper is essential to overcome the friction. It’s really easy using a couple shims on the router table!

This looks amazing, one of the nicest hangboards I've seen for sure! Please keep making videos, there's a real lack of information about how to make premium-looking wooden climbing holds out there!

Welcome back! Glad to see a new video. You inspired me to start making my own holds in early covid lock down and ive made a ton of them over the last four years.

I love the hangboard idea and its been on my to-do list for months. You knocked it out of the park with this one.

Awesome work dude. I love it! Your equipment is exactly as I imagined it of a German. Really enjoyed watching it

Great video!!

I'm very stoked for this new video! I was wondering if you were still doing stuff <3
I also love sanding and the fails are essential imo

Hey Tobias, love the fails, reminds me of my own stupid stuff ups when I get stressed and unfocused 😅
Greetings from Dunners!
P.s. I found put about your channel when I noticed some of your earlier climbing holds on the spray wall at Resistance gym

Great video! Beautiful hangboards! Love seeing you make mistakes, good for a laugh, but also overcome those mistakes and find a solution!

Love your stuff man. Started carving holds based on your videos with primitive tools. They don't look as nice as yours but they get the job done on my home wall.

Do you really need the screws or joinery, wouldn't the glue alone be strong enough?

Bad Idea- way over built, but great execution. A door jamb is just as functional.
