Gene, your are absolutely right. I am a terrible carver/whittler and have no interest in competitions. Whittling for me is relaxing and simple joy. I proudly show and give away my poor examples of carvings to family and friends who appreciate my sad effort, but thats worth more to me than any competition. No disrespect to those whose talents give them the opportunity to show and compete, (if thats their joy) but mine will never develop to that level. But thats never been my goal. If no one ever sees my carvings, i will still be satisfied and having great joy in just putting a knife to wood…
This video is a gem... I enjoyed this one very much... I laffed so hard...when you talked about the chair.. I sure hope you do a video once in a while.. May God Bless you friend..!
Your so right...and I've reached the place that your talking about..I carve everyday not for competition but for peace and relaxation...I'm a retired iron worker and I enjoy working with my hands
Good video good information a question. What do you do with your wood chips when you’re out in public? I have suspect that if you drop them on the ground, somebody’s gonna give you a hard time about that and I know your knife control is so good that you probably don’t have them flying everywhere so it might be easier to pick them up but I just curious thanks for your videos
