Ellwood residents dealing with gouged electric prices of 300+ for a month while an empty hospital with no use is lit up like a Christmas tree.

I was a security guard here and got laid off not long before it shut down. Surreal seeing my desk and the areas I’ve travelled within for 11 months like this. Edit: 37:10 I bet that patient call box going off is connected to why there was that little alarm sound earlier on in the video. A wall pulley unit in case of emergency is likely off its socket within that room and is triggering both the fire alarm box and the patient call box. I know this from one of the few interesting incidents I had gotten called to.

They almost killed me twice. They kept saying I had a bladder infection when I was 7...Soon after, my appendix exploded, and I was rushed to a different hospital.

This hospital told me I had cancer (I was 12) I infact did not. I had an enlarged thoumous (goes away when adult) in my throat

That cremation unit is actually called an Autoclave. You’d put your metal tools, scalpels, forceps, etc into the autoclave to sterilize them before using them on patients

I’ve explored this hospital with a couple of my friends. Apparently they shut the power off now

I was born in that hospital and raised in ellwood. My pediatrician was in the building next door. It’s crazy seeing it like that. Always hoped that it would reopen or they’d find use for the building. Thank you for sharing. It’s nice to see some of my history.

8:50 that is called an "Autoclave". It is used to sterilize metal instruments like scalpels forceps etc.

The CAT scan machine that was missing probably had to be removed. It had a malfunction at one point and that part of the hospital was evacuated. I don't believe it was ever fixed.

Outpatient just means that you’re staying in the hospital for less than 24 hours. It has no impact whatsoever on why u are in the hospital.❤Much love!💕

46:36 This is a Datex-Ohmeda Aestiva 3000 anesthesia machine, a compact and versatile medical device widely used in operating rooms. It features the SmartVent ventilator, which offers both pressure and volume control modes, making it suitable for a broad range of patients from neonates to adults. The machine is highly regarded for its ergonomic design, ease of use, and efficiency, especially in low-flow anesthesia applications which help reduce operational costs. The integrated breathing circuit also helps enhance patient safety and streamline workflow

So much medicine that could be helping people just left to rot, all those wheelchairs just decaying. Crazy they just left literally every single thing behind. Never seen an abandoned place this untouched.
