The plaintiff claims he never received a cover for the boat he purchased off the defendant, and argues it was promised to him at the time of deposit. He also claims that when he took the paperwork in to get the boat registered, he learned that the paperwork the defendant gave him was forged. The plaintiff is suing for the cost of the boat cover. According to the defendant, a cover was not mentioned until after the boat was entirely paid for and hooked up to the plaintiff’s car. He argues that it wasn’t part of the sale, but he did casually offer it to the plaintiff if he was able to find it.
