I knew one of the directors at Forest and in a discussion about Stuart Pearce I suggested it was time they named a stand after him. The guy took one of those through-the -teeth sharp breaths and said 'what you dont realise is the man is a football mercenary. He is holding us to ransom at the moment, do you realise he is demanding three grand a week?' This was in his absolute pomp, Three grand a week!

As a Scot Stuart Pierce is the epitome of a winner if you could have had Pierce and Souness in midfield you would never loose a game also I would have dared anyone in the team to under perform they would have been throttled, I didn’t see big brave Martin Keowan answer him back until have his team were in between them Pierce would have destroyed him !

The David James striker sub was one of the worst managerial decisions I've seen in my time. To rationalise it by saying Macken hadn't been scoring was hilarious. David James wouldn't even make it as a conference league striker, so why is he a better option than Macken?
