"DIRT" is hands down one of the most important albums of Rock Music.

For me, Layne sounds like a human guitar. Completely unique.

I teared up when Chris Cornell said he had a dream that Layne was in a good place. I try to have faith that they are both in a good place now, singing around a campfire. I hope they know how much we loved and admired them.

For years, I would find ZERO mention of Layne Staley anywhere on popular media, including rock radio stations that would lionize Kurt, but on YouTube and elsewhere on the net, he really does get the recognition he deserves.

I find that kinda cool. It's like being a part of a community. Either he and Jerry has touched your life and we can all share that, or you just don't know.

Layne will always be my favorite vocalist. His music has gotten me through so much in life. RIP LAYNE

I always loved that the Wilson sisters supported Alice In Chains so openly. It probably meant a lot to the guys to have the approval of Seattle classic rock royalty. If Ann Wilson thinks you’re a good singer, you know you’re a fucking good singer

Jerry and Layne are one of the greatest duo’s of all time and we’ll never see or hear anything like them again. AIC was so talented and one of a kind

Layne is one of the most unappreciated vocalist in rock history. I put him him and Chris Cornell to be the top 2 in the 90's era. Thanks loudwire for keeping him known.

RIP Layne Staley, his music saved my life.

Hearing Nutshell always hits me in the gut. Same with River of Deceit. Layne Staley is one of the greats and always will be.

The day I heard that he died, I called in sick to work.... went to rehab 9 days later. His life and death gave me motivation to save my own life from death.

Talented vocalist, uses entire diaphragm to belt out the high notes, most singers would go falsetto...Layne's tone was special as well, no one's voice hit the tape like that...LEGEND

@X-Ray_Mind 5 years ago

The most underrated real singer to ever live on this cruel world

@jessicap9832 5 years ago

Something that I hear about Layne more than nearly any other rock singer, is that his voice saved many lives.

@loiteringrambler1268 5 years ago

one of the greatest vocalists of the 90‘s

@shaunpilkington4625 3 years ago

Layne and Jerry’s harmony will never be matched

@VectraV8SC 5 years ago

When someone like Ann Wilson talks about Layne like that, you know that the guy was really special.

Layne IS in a good place, he's in a way better place.
His existence made an impact on this world.
Layne & Jerry's voice was a perfect harmony, that nobody will ever come close to.
