19:36 The game doesn't "think" the quiz has been completed. What does happen is that the script for getting a skull question wrong disables all invisible walls and gives Banjo his moves back, so the "fyling into the lava" sequence can be completed. The invisible walls would prevent Banjo from falling into the lava, and without Banjo's reactivated moves or animations, he wouldn't be able to fall backwards from the hurtbox the script activates to push him into the lava.

The script reactivates the walls when Banjo respawns, and locks his moves away when he re-enters the board, but because Banjo never dies, the walls stay gone and he keeps his moves.

The reason you win when you reach the end is simply because of a trigger at the end of the board that starts the next sequence which is always active.

It's awesome that this game can be beaten with only 1 jiggy. I'm sure we'll find a way to get into Mumbo's Mountain without needing that very first jiggy. Imagine running the category.. jiggy-less!! 😀 Great video, thanks again for making it!

That glitch at the beginning to get all the moves unlocked gave me a hit of nostalgia for a different game entirely. When I was a kid, my brother had a rule that if I wanted to play any of his games, he had to have fully beaten them first. So once he did everything in Spyro 2, he passed me the controller and said I could try it out finally. And while I don't remember the exact details of what you have to do for this glitch, it turns out that when you have a completed save file with the permanent boosted fireball and then you go to the menu and start a new game, that new file gets the permanent fireball right from the get go. So while I usually hated my brother for making me have to wait for weeks on end as he slowly beat games, this time led to us figuring out a neat way to make Spyro 2 a cake walk.

I mean, the dark secret of Banjo-Kazooie is that Notes are the primary collectible and the point of Jiggies is to get you more Notes, so I'm not really surprised by this revelation. Cool glitches, tho.

Don't think I don't notice the Ms. Pac-Man: Maze Madness music there! Genuinely my favorite N64 third party game, even if it's better on PS1. And the fact it's in a Banjo-Kazooie challenge video makes it even better!
