The fact that I don't see Treize as a villain kinda shows how he's such a good one

"When wars are dehumanized, Victory and Defeat become miserable and God no longer lends a helping hand."
probably my favorite quote from Treize

what i get from it is for example WW1. an idea that it was to be the war to end all wars. because the amount of lives lost should have deterred humanity from ever wanting to wage war, so with the Mobile dolls and war no longer having a cost that hurts people.  where Treize knows that a time frame for peaceful years can only happen when lives are lost.

Treize, the man every member of the Zabi Family wishes they could be while rocking that Victorian/pre WWI aristocrat style. And Heaven above do his warnings about the dangers of automating warfare strike a nerve today.

"More grace, lady. More grace, lady Une."
The coldest rebuke in the show.

He's in many ways one of the most interesting and intelligent villains in the series.  Not evil to be evil, but good on his own terms, in his own eyes.  It's great you decided to cover him!

Treize was not only a good villain but a good leader for his fellow soldiers when he left romafeller and OZ. Then he created The Treize Faction with a handful of OZ soldiers who defected to his side.

If you think about it... Treize through out the series also never had a personel mobile suit. If he used one.. it was a standard one. Cause he valued his skill and mind more. The body doesn't matter.
He didn't need a tallgeese, gundam or such. Cause he believed his life was as valuable as his fellow men, so he fights like his fellow men.

It isn't till he turns away from it all.. he builds two units. Gundam Epyon and Tallgeese 2. Since at that point he understood the plight of the gundam pilots.
He gave Epyon to the one who he believed was most honorable.
And took tallgeese 2 as his tombstone... cause not only did he now stand out from his fellow soliders. But his death would very visible. It was always his intention to die standing out.

Funnest of Facts: In Super Robot Wars: Y, Treize's death for Peace is so effective a Story beat, that Char Aznable gave up his ambitions in the middle of Char's Counter Attack. And even years after his death, it still affected Char enough that he tries to emulate Treize's mentality, focusing on fighting not with weapons but intellectually, sheltering pilots and people who were exploited by previous wars, working in secret to make sure Amuro could get the Nu Gundam, helping with policing space with the Preventers as the ruler of his own nation state in space. He manages to achieve his dream of a free independent and peaceful space by believing in Treize's ideology

my take on Treizes "i want to be a loser" speach is that when those in power become weak, they inevitable uplift a protector who will gain strength far stronger than any they had. thats what he sees the gundams as, protectors who were given all the potential power that the colonies posessed as strength and he now wanted to "be a loser" and uplift someone to even greater heights as a counter to the mobile dolls. in this action he created the epion gundam

Treize is easily my favorite antagonist in any and all Gundam series. I have a hard time calling him a bad guy... because I believe his goal was true peace as well, but someone needed to be the bad guy and he willingly fulfilled that role. He's just so calculating, plans everything perfectly and even when hes "removed" from the board hes still a major player... it just all falls into place. Hell I believe he planned his own death to and knew he needed to die to bring forth that peace and it needed to be done by the hands of a Gundam pilot and chose Wufei after their first duel.

The Big Boss of Gundam without the eyepatch or cigar

I love that conversation with Wufei. Wufei asks how many people had died in the war, and Treize says something no one is expecting. Do you really want to know?

Glory of The Loser it's really fit with Treize. He's good villain with moral code and we never seen any character who resemblance him.

Treize was one of the heroes.  Him and Zechs played the world, Romafeller, and the colonies to set the stage to rip it all down and start over. The two of them knew that Reliena was key and kept her alive. The only thing that was missing from their plan was the spark to light it all. Treize knew the Gundams would be used by the colonies eventually. I’m sure he counted on it.

I have a hot take, he was not a villain, just the antagonist. If the history was from his view we would root for him as the hero.

As a kid/ teenager watching G: Wing,  i thought Treize was ok, until the last scene where Lufei asked how many people died because of Treize, and he gave an exact answer and began listing names.  At that point he clicked with me, and I've loved him ever since.

The thing I love with Trieze and the other two main characters in Wing. Is that they all approached a different answer to the same question. How do we end War? The beauty of Trieze' answer is that he isn't inherently wrong with his conclusion. Much like Miliardo and Relena, it's a matter of perspective. He sees that there is beauty in conflict, and there are plenty of sports and entertainment that shows this. NGL Trieze would probably enjoy the Gundam fights in G Gundam as that would fit his ideal world.

Side note, I love how all the main players in the show agree the Mobile Dolls are an awful creation by man. It's something I ponder on a lot with the worlds recent use of Drone weaponry

Multifaceted villains are always a treat when they are written well.

Trieze is a clear example of that.

and we can never forget he is the only person to have ever conquered the earth twice once through blood and the second was without ever firing a shot.

I mean, the man made Epyon. He's the definition of rad.
