Science is the same wherever you are born.  Religion is not.

Man, he was such a clear and considerate thinker and speaker.

Carl Sagan was encouraging an Enlightenment 2.0 which we so desperately need.

The world has suffered from the absence of his wisdom.

"Religion is a phase a species goes through when it evolves enough intelligence to ask profound questions but not enough to answer them." - Bill Flavell

Carl Sagan talked on this subject all his life. He was not anti-Christian, he was anti religion.

sagan would be deeply disturbed of 2026
oh how far we’ve slid into the depths of insanity

"If we are not able to ask skeptical questions...then we are up for grabs for the next charlatan, political or religious, who comes rambling along". Hello, Donald Trump. 😪

He was an extraordinary thinker and communicator. We need people like him now more than ever. RIP  Carl.

I come to Carl Sagan often to keep me grounded.

"the shear joy of being alive" Carl Sagan was a genuine human being, I wish I grew up with him as a childhood friend

"If we can't think for ourselves, if we're unwilling to question authority, then we're just putty in the hands of those in power. But if the citizens are educated and form their own opinions, then those in power work for us. In every country, we should be teaching our children the scientific method and the reasons for a Bill of Rights. With it comes a certain decency, humility and community spirit. In the demon-haunted world that we inhabit by virtue of being human, this may be all that stands between us and the enveloping darkness."- The Demon-Haunted World, Carl Sagan

We can always read "The Demon Haunted World," when we are heartsick for the wisdom of Carl Sagan.  He was a wonderful and wise man.

Carl Sagan is one of my handful of heroes.

"God is not so much dead as merely obsolete." - Aldous Huxley.

Every "God", every religion, every "holy" text is the creation of man.

Oh how I love this man❤the world still needs him!

20min is too short but I'm grateful for every moment. Thank you!

Carl Sagan will forever be my inspiration and idol. He did not only make me inspired and obsessed with science but many others as well.  R.I.P dear Carl, my enternal gratitude for making me a better human being.

He talks about republicans shutting down education and about how if you're uneducated you're wide open to be exploited by charlatans.

That aged like fine wine.
